New Marathon? Thanks Bungie!

not too obnoxious but my picks r Cortana and Gravemind in H3 for those dialogue slowdowns (couldnt they give us the option to disable them?)

Yeah, I also hated those, one of the worst elements in the campaign. Main reason I hated "Cortana" level.

Still, I don't hate Cortana or the Gravemind. It was more like a way to remind their audience that they still existed.

Good point. Those moments were very irritating. Bungie could definitely have implemented the dialouge in a different way, surely?

Can't argue there. Along with him saying "I got this!" while shooting a wall, whilst I'm trying not to get an Energy Sword through the gut from an Elite Zealot on Legendary.

Most irritating character in the Halo series?

Sgt. Stacker. That mother--blam!- just keeps on dying in every single Halo Game, and he STILL comes back for more.

Examples:

Killed on Pillar of Autumn while you escape with Cortana (Halo: CE)
Killed in Gauss Hog on the New Mombasa Scarab level. (Halo 2)
Bleeding out on floor in the underground ruins of the base. (Halo 3)
Shot by Wraith (Halo 3: ODST)
On the beach saying "Go, Go, Go!" then getting killed by Spec-Ops Grunt in Ghost (Halo Reach)

He even gets freakin' killed in a Halo Wars cutscene!

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Miranda Keyes was the most aggravating for me.

"To war..."

I hate that line so much that I don't like her character at all. Still kinda sad when she died though.

That was a bit too camp. If your base is under attack with only one room and a staircase as a buffer between you and the enemy you do not say that to your men when they ask what they should do.

Its a tie for me between 343GS and Kat.

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

U don't know wtf ur talking about. Spitit of Fire was labelled "Lost With All Hands." There goes that theory.
Stacker was under the call sign Kilo 40 in Exodus and was in the POA by Augest 30, 2552.
Stacker was on the life boats when the exited onto 04. He was rescued by John-117. He fought as well with the ODST's to the Truth and Reconciliation's gravity lift. He was also the leader of Fire team Zulu.

Everything after that is questionable. He was on 05 and NEw Mombasa AT THE SAME TIME! WTF? He would be at Voi and the Ark later on though.

All the AI. They just wait for you to do something and complain about it. Also Jun. No point to him at all. The game would have been fine without him.

Sadly I would have to say Buck.

I think that the dialog in ODST was childed down. That and the no online multiplayer for firefight were the only 'bad' things about the game.

I hope that the next halo game gets back to its grittier roots. Johnson had no problem cussing up a storm in Halo CE.

Yeah, it was the one good thing about the Rookie's missions if you ask me, the fun of hunting for the data ports (or whatever they were) containing Sadie's Story and then listening to them as I went around New Mombasa...otherwise those missions were rather boring (until the end when you reunite with Buck and Dare). I don't really like the Rookie too much, I find him kind of annoying because he's a mute protagonist and really doesn't seem to have any character at all :/

The rest of ODST was really awesome though.

It definitely helped in making the player feel more isolated, and that you were in a different type of FPS. However, I wish Bungie still went added more things such as this in.
