I play for fun and armory completion. :)

Does it really matter? It was on or around the date that Bungie handed over the Halo franchise to 343i fully.

Perhaps the day when a chunk of Bungie broke off to form 343i.

*googles for further answer*

But... a chunk of Bungie never broke off to form 343. There are like... 5 ex-Bungie Employees there. That's it.
:/

So more like a crumb?
Either way it was some of the more known original team members which is still notable.

What about the child Bungie gave birth too? That thing's pretty massive you know.

I was only using speech to emphasize what happened. If it makes you feel better, I can edit my post to be more clear. Edit: Although, I'd like to say that I already act emotionless enough in most of my posts!

Burrito is right. It seems to be a pretty common misconception

well whenever it was released, say 15th of december 2010, do you think it should be removed on the 15th of december 2011, a year after it was put on the site

To infinity, and beyond!
UNSC Leviathan

Around mid August it was put up.

When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

[[EDIT: per ^above^ post] It could have been August, sometime late summer at any rate]

Pretty sure it was last July. Bungie Day was kind of a send-off so it happened sometime after that. Also 343i formed with the expressed purpose of continuing Halo despite Bungie and the dignity of the series. The few employees they have from the original team hardly comprise the heart and soul of it. Even Jason Jones one of the founders of Bungie has implied some serious hostility over the whole thing.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Seems like when people make Halo related posts, they must have a popup blocker or something on because it's right there. Maybe it should be a pop up as well when making a topic...

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

It was early August i think.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Uh, lots of this is false.

1. 343i was originally a group in Microsoft called the "Halo Franchise Development Group". They were responsible for managing lots of non-game stuff (toys, books, etc.). Bungie was of course involved, but we focused on the games.
2. As Bungie became independent, Microsoft decided to greatly expand this group into a full fledged studio, devoted to continuing Halo, and filling with talented people who want to make more Halo.
3. Reports of Bungie people moving to 343i are greatly exaggerated - we have an very high retention rate.
4. Reports of hostility over the transition are false. They're a very talented group of people, and we look forward to experiencing the future of Halo as fans. Don't create drama where none exists.
5. The date of the cutover was August 2nd, IIRC.

I knew all this because of the history and videos of bungie.

no issue, the point of my thread is whether people agree that the 'BUNGiE is no longer managing the Halo Universe' message should be removed a year after it was put up
