I prefer the BR, that was a pretty weapon.

I find it more realistic. Bullet spread would happen at a higher rate of fire.

The year is 2555 not 2010. The DMR has bullet spread like a gun in the civil war. With the advanced technology they have in 2555 you would think a gun they are using would shoot straight every time and not be so random, right?

Quite. That's when it goes into the acceptable breaks from reality. A gun that shoots straight every time (bar the Sniper Rifle) would be too good for the purposes of the multiplayer mode, as far as I'm concerned.
Well we all know your opinion matters on what would be good for multiplayer purposes.

Tsk tsk. Sarcasm. I expected as much.

Nevertheless, I implore you to take what I say into consideration. After all, the bigger the skill gap, the better, right?

Bloom doesn't create a skill gap, it decreases it.

You're retarded. Go away. We don't need your opinions on what you think works with Halo. You're under qualified.

Dat BR spread

Hindsight says to me that Bullet Spread on it's own was not the best thing ever. Bloom, I believe, needed to be implemented to further the skill gap.

However, I can agree that it was not implemented correctly in Halo Reach.

Disprove me, then. I will present evidence proving my point, you present evidence saying otherwise.

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

The realism argument has NO validity. Most modern weapons are far more accurate than the DMR.

You are correct.

However, I don't need to play MLG to know what I am talking about.

Validity does not equal truth.

It's valid. You know it as not true.

Here is my proof.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Bloom enables spamming to win DMR fights, makes kill times long which makes flanking irrelevant and individual skill lowered.

It's always the same kids who favor bloom. Always.

...

What did that prove?

All I see is my number of kills with a DMR. And my number of deaths. From a DMR.

By the way, if Bloom enables spamming to win, then dead-on accuracy also enables spamming to win, unless rate of fire is lowered. Even then, at max rate of fire, it's still spam.

What?

The DMR fires a 7.62 MM round at a single round burst.

Most common modern weapons that fire the SAME round, with a GREATER distance, ALL of which have an option to be fired automatically, semi-automatically, and three-round bursts:

M16A4
M4 Carbine
AK-47

Not only does your post make no sense at all, but you can't back anything. If you even made a claim (I don't think you did).

Dead on accuracy assures the best aim will always win. Bloom makes it so one can get lucky in an individual fight.

This is pretty simple. You're ignorant on the matter.

I saw that the enemy was just barely in the reticule when you fired the killing shot. Due to the hitbox, it scored for you. This is not only a case of Bloom, but also Bullet Magnetism.

Nevertheless, not once did I say that the Bloom that was in Vanilla Reach okay. I even said (in this very thread, no less) that it was implemented incorrectly. If it was implemented correctly, it would work.

You misunderstood my argument.

Even if it was changed, it still lowers the skill gap.

The fastest shot with the best aim while firing faster is Halo. This is how it's always been.

Edit - it's not hitbox issue. I got lucky because of bloom. If that was to have been on a static reticule, I would have missed. Plain and simple. Bloom allowed me to get lucky, and get the kill.

I'm not ignorant. I just can't grasp what you are trying to tell me.

If it were implemented correctly, the best aim would still win, but at the same time, the one who took better time to control said aim (In this latter case, where the bullet would go during a volley of bullets through timed shots).

I find it hard to believe than you can recognize a change in the skill gap when you get dumped on in almost every game you play. From your POV, everyone is better.
