But if we're counting the games, then plasma doesn't do much at all.
Don't the Locusts have those bulletproof hugeass ones in GoW? A few of those and it would turn into a stomp match.I have to agree with you that Covenant weapons in the games belong in the trash. But the books, thats a whole different story.
And the bulletproof one's that you're thinking of are the Berserkers. But you got to remember that are bulletproof (Not in GoW 3 though) but their not plasma proof. So the same would apply for Berserkers. When plasma would come into contact with the Berserker it would just boil the Berserker. But the Berserker would take a lot of Covenant down with it.
I did a bit of research on the Locust, and, well, it rally depends on where they're fighting.
In the open, the Covenant take this. They have more options and Wraiths would seriously f*** over the Locust. If they have Scarabs, the Locust might as well be a bunch of ants.
If the battle takes place underground, the Locust would win. The Covenant lack vehicles that can move and fight effectively underground, and they don't have soldiers that can fight well down there, while the Locusts are entirely used to it. They simply have too much of an advantage.I agree but remember the giant badass Scarab in Halo 2. That one is actually used for mining for Forerunner artifacts. The Covenant would start deploying mining Scarabs and if were counting Halo Wars they would deploy Locusts' (I know, irony) to dig smaller tunnels then after that they would start sending huge armadas of Banshees and Phantoms underground to start invading the Hollow.
