so if noble 6 could survive that, why couldnt jorge survive the fall or leap out of it after he pushed the button on the bomb...and with the engines shot out, why couldnt they just normal blow it up? and what happened to june???? so many unanswered questions????

"Timer is fried. Gonna have to fire this manually"

Jorge was the button.
why didn't Jorge just armor lock then?

Reach is set in the future so 343i had already nerfed it. :P

reach is set before the rest of Halo series...why didnt he use armo lock, during the intitial explosion, than fall like N6 did?

His fate is left for user interpretation, but the general idea is that he died with Reach. However, this fan-made comic book is a GREAT story that follows him

It wasn't an explosion. It was a rip in space-time, which is how ships get into and out of slipspace in the Halo universe.

Noble team mounted the slipspace drive to a pelican and landed it on the Covenant Corvette, which then was redirected to the Covenant Supercarrier.

Jorge had to manually activate the slipspace drive. Even if he had used armor lock, he still would have been sucked into slipspace.

Technically, Jorge could still be alive if he survived the entry to, and subsequent exit from, slipspace. A similar situation was discussed in First Strike. MC wanted to destroy the Covenant space station without requiring the ship to leave slipspace. They reinforced a drop ship and launched from the ship. Since they no longer had a slipspace drive ripping a hole through space-time, the drop ship exited slipspace and re-entered space-time.

noble six is a cat.

Probably the most realistic and in-depth explanation.

You must confront your inabilities
You must adjust to your capabilities

Never associate a games cut scenes to its actual game play. When you were playing halo at any point was the fighting that good compared to watching master chief, noble six, etc., being a bad ass? No not really.

why didn't Jorge just armor lock then?

Because Armor Lock doesn't protect against complete and utter Oblivion. It's a prototype technology, remember?

Again, it was not an explosion. It was a slipspace transition. Likely, Jorge was crushed by debris or by the massive amount of force when he was exiting slipspace.

If he did survive the transition, either the vacumm of space killed him, unless he put his helmet back on. Or even if he did put his helmet back on, his suits oxygen reserves would've depleted and he would've suffocated.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Or died from the lack of oxygen in slipspace, or was torn apart as the slipspace portal opened (which was clearly not a natural opening, as it exploded outwards like a bomb are tore apart everything the outer rim cut through. Then there's the fact that the Ardent Prayer wouldn't exist anymore, the epicenter of the blast was inside the ship so the whole thing would have collapsed in on itself.

Even if it did successfully transition into slipspace, the ship could have been adrift for weeks or months going toward some desolate part of the galaxy. Jorge would have been dead long before then, as MJOLNIR Mark V had less than 90 minutes of oxygen reserves.
