I hate a lot of things but, art isn't one.

Later on, when I consider myself in a stable enough life to splurge on random, ill-conceived, and brash desires I was considering getting a tattoo in omage to Bungie. I know what you are thinking if you even condone this type of thing? This has been done before.

My idea is that On my left moob, closer to my heart, I would tattoo a plasma grenade ready to explode. The arc of the grenade would resemble the bungie header and underneath the swoosh of the grenade would be the following words...

Stickie! -or- Sticky!

I am liking the misspelled version better. Only because I know how much it pains moderators to see grammar and spelling mistakes. So in a way I am mocking and loving the community. It's all in fun though.

What are your thoughts and ideas on the subject?

@Geegs30

There was a thread a little bit (a month or two?) ago where a guy I recognized described his ideas for a Bungie tattoo. I can't find it now though :/
Just know that you'd be joining a very small but dedicated club.

I personally wouldn't do it, but it sounds cool. I think some of the Halo medals would look pretty cool as tattoos too.

A plasma grenade? People will see that in a few years and be like "Oh, a 343i fan".

Of course it all depends on how often you show your moobs.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

Do it if you want, but just remember than tattoos are permanent; make sure you'll still like Bungie in ten, twenty, or thirty years.

Posted by: HymnI'd say go for it if you feel you'll never regert it. I've seen some people get some pretty derpy tatoos and later regret it. I suggest you do extensive research on your tatoo parlor before you get it done.

How could you not? If nothing else this website is good for a few laughs.

You may be special but that doesn't mean you're useful

I personally wouldn't get a tattoo referencing any game tbh.

Most of the time they look tacky and even though you may not be, make you look like a super geek.

I have tattoos myself and each one took me a long time to decide over, you need to think, will I like looking at this for the rest of my life?

Plus, we have no idea where 343i will take the Halo series (sticky grenades included), they could make a complete hash of the series and you're left with a tattoo reminding you of a sucky game.

Ultimately though the decision is down to you, you could get all the advice in the world but you have to make your own mind up.

P.S If your getting it done going across you chest/sternum then I hope you like pain, it hurts like a -blam!-.

Actually it would be cleverly disguised.

I don't intend on buying 343i's Halo. Halo for me ended with H3. I played Reach because it wasn't a continuation of the franchises bread and butter.

Ultimately though the decision is down to you, you could get all the advice in the world but you have to make your own mind up. This is why I love the community board! So respectful!

P.S If your getting it done going across you chest/sternum then I hope you like pain, it hurts like a -blam!-.

So I was thinking it would. My plan for tattoos was a full upper body collage. Half B&W and half color. The coloured half would be where the plasma grenade is and that portion would blend with other tatos unrelated to bungie themed tattoo.

Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

Personally, I would say that you should wait until Bungie's new IP is released. If it does turn out to be far more epic than the Halo series, you might regret your decision.

I always cringe when people start talking about how they're going to get Halo/Bungie related tattoos. Absolutely horrifying.

I have some tattoos
And another ;P

I have always looked at tattoos as a storyboard of your life. So if your tattoo would symbolize something that is meaningful in your life currently, there is no real reason to regret it later, as you will know what it means, and it will always be a reminder of that time.

When the game is over, the king and pawn go into the same box

I seem to remember the thread the other poster talked about. There a fair amount of them out there. I know it's not Bungie related, but there was a news post on 343i's site that had a decent list of Halo themed tattoos in it.
