halo1, it needs skill, unlike in halo2, where it can home in with heat seeker installed into the rockets...

lol yea, but still the skill it takes to handle a rocket launcher in halo2 went down about 75% from halo1...

FYI, the halo1 rocket launcher takes skill in multiplayer (unless youre realy close to the enemy). since the projectile the launcher releases has the speed of a SNAIL, you have to learn to "guide" your rocket to the moving enemy. even with effort, theres a chance your rocket wont even hit dirt (sarcasm), so you need to be a good marksmen to control the halo1 rocket launcher.

halo2, has a heat seeker installed into the tip of its projectile. fire at the vehicle, and watch it burn to hell. no skill needed. end of story.

I'm gunna have to go with the H1 rocket, since I've only played Halo2 once for about 10 minutes.

I like Rocket Slayer and CTF. There's just something magical about seeing someones body sail overhead, limbs flailing, from multiple consecutive explosions.

I'm going to have to go with Combat Evolved's RL. It takes skill, and it is quite fun leading my shots and taking out warthogs across the map, or banshees out of the sky. Don't get me wrong though, I like Halo 2's rocket launcher as well, because it can take out those retarded banshee noobs that try to run you over easily, with a sense of great satisfaction.

They're all good rocket lauchers, but the brute shot isn't really a rocket laucher.

Rocket hog can easily destory an entire squad in just 3 shots or even less if your a good aimer.

Halo 2 Rocket laucher, its the same as the Halo 1 rocket laucher but with tracking, thats pretty cool for taking out warthogs and such however requires not much skill.

Halo 1 rocket laucher, its just plain cool and awesome, I perfer it than Halo 2 becasue of no tracking. If you can aim well and correctly lead the shot, you'll get the warthog. etc. etc. and its so awesome when you get that warthog at mid range and even more at long range and awesome times infinity when you get them from base to base such as in pretty large maps such as Blood Gulch. It shows you have skills plus you have the right to rub it in just a little bit, lol.

I just love Combat Evolved's rocket launcher because of the skill involved in leading the rockets at distance. In fact, this concept of pwning a warthog with three enemies when firing with a considerable lead is one of the reasons I keep coming back to play Halo PC. Here is a video showing me pwning people in Blood Gulch. But I can't wait to take out all those banshee noobs in H2PC with rockets that lock on to them. I like both rocket launchers. And Halo PC's rocket hog is a favorite as well.

the homing feature is a bit ghey... but i voted h2 rl cause it looks nicer for one thing, and because the sound effects make it more fun to use to me

Ah, but in compensation for the 'ghey' homing feature, all the vehicles are more potent wagons of death than they were before. Ghosts, Wraiths, Scorpion Tanks, Warthogs, Spectres and Banshees are very deadly to those on foot. That's why they added the homing feature.

Damn straight! Halo 1's RL is my favorite because as Master Kim said: It takes SKILL, SKILL people (for those who make fun of us who like the first RL)

i like the fwoosh sound of the second rocket launcher still. the first sounds like youre flushing the rocket down the toilet.

You know the rocket sounds sorta like a toliet flush but modded and edited to make it sound different, however if you really listen you can heard a toliet flush sorta sound as the base.
