You misunderstood genius. I am a 25 still because I have not played ranked games since becoming a 25. I was guessing at where I would be had I continued, due to the level of others that I have played and beaten lately (unranked). After a match and before(360) you see other players' level, and this is what I was basing it on. Frankly, I don't care what level I am, since it really does not correctly label an individual's skill.

I'm an expert at flag caps in both CTF and Assault. My tactic is to use a ghost and go in alone. Don't stop to shoot anyone, just go for the cap. It helps if you can snag an Overshield, but it's just a little extra protection that's usually not needed. My tactic works 9 out of 10 times even if the enemy is waiting for you. Just today It was Assault Sidewinder and I ran over the entire opposing team and scored. It was awesome.

Man, there arent any good ol' footsoldiers anymore. I always prefer to walk, (that's right walk ) to where I'm trying to go. It helps you equip for when you reach the enemy.

That's exactly why I prefer to walk. That and I think that it is easier to defend yourself while on foot. (It's easier to aim when you aren't on the back of a hog and don't have much of a clue as to what the driver's doing.)

I still prefer the Ghost to walking or Warthogs. It's fast, maneuverable, and I can take down just about anything that gets in my way, from tanks and other ghosts, to warthogs and even banshees.

It's so funny circle strafing a tank and litening to the driver cuss and scream when he can't move the turret fast enough to track me. Also, driving backwards sending hot plasma into a Banshee's face as I dodge plasma and Fuel Rod shots is one of the most exciting things in Halo.

Note for most people:

This only works on very disorganised teams! Even one RL hog would be able to stop a single ghost on assault, and is VERY liable to be sniped by good snipers!

It will work well most of the time on CTF, when the other team goes all out attack, but not against a team that knows what it's doing on Assault, in which the opponents attack instead of defending.

I've made it through some pretty nasty scrapes using that tactic, Even with people standing right by the flag with rocket launchers, FRG's and a rocket hog thrown in as well. Just go in fast and hard and they won't know what hit em.

I find Assault easier– you only have to survive the trip to the enemy base. In regular CTF, you have to get to the enemy base and live through the trip home.

True, but even if you die on the way home, an observant team mate may try to continue where you left off. And if he's a really cool guy he'll even give you the flag so you still get your cap. Then again, there may be an odd time when you make it to your base, and one of your jackass teammates TK's you and takes your cap, that's happened to me a couple times on the Maw server. That's really annoying...

That's exactly why I don't include ghosts in most of my maps, especially Sidewinder.

I normally just do it because I can get out of the base and into some action so I can help my team out alot faster than it takes me to load up a Hog and get going. Sure a hog may make for quicker getaways but I am usually the one trying to keep the enemy's attention of that guy but running circles in front of their base.
