bloom is still less random than spread, more player controlled variables, although i agree it was maybe a misstep for a halo game, it's the sort of mechanic that defines the play style a tad bit more than it should, and as such should only really be used from the start of a series.

I agree, as you said it controls the gameplay a bit to much(at least for my liking) than it should.
