Chief would eat bricks. That's how much of a personality he has. Hell, the brick probably has more life than he does.Every time you post about Master Chief and Halo characters in general, I laugh.
It's literally too stupid to take seriously.
I don't take it seriously, bro, it's meant to be sarcastic. >.>
Edit for clarification: my posts about Thom are sarcastic, anyway. Seriously, though, John had little to no characterization and it's annoying.John's character is shown through music, decisions and reactions, and atmosphere.
Music doesn't explain who he is, it just provides something to listen to while you play.
Yes, it's shown he's loyal. Just like Johnson, Lord Hood, Noble Team, Cortana, both Keyes...most people in the Haloverse, really. It's more of an expectation than anything else.
The last level of Reach gave Six more emotion than John got in the whole of three games. John doesn't change, from the beginning of Halo 1 to the end of Halo 3. He's a static character. Everybody else changes. I thought Miranda became more experienced in Halo 3, or at least sounded more experienced, and Johnson became less of a comic-relief badass and more of a cool old guy. The Arbiter had obvious character development that we, the players, experienced firsthand.
And John...was still a wall of a character who shot stuff and did little else.
