Still using a pump-action shotgun over 500 years in the future I see.

omg not realistic stop game production plz

Yup, it's true; I'm making a thread about that concept art trailer. I still feel there's speculation to be made, even though the images don't necessarily represent what will happen and are just concept.

Link, you'll need it.

My first point: Pause at 0:17 and 1:06. If you ask me, 0:17 appears to look very similar to the UNSC Infinity (look at the prow/front of the ship at 0:17, and then the front of the actual image of the Infinity). Looking at 1:06, we can see some unidentified escape pods; hazarding a guess, these look very much like the escape pods of an advanced vessel like Infinity.

Looking onwards at 0:28 suggests a ship has made a landing down onto the planet...and not a desirable landing. If one assumes that this large ship is the Infinity (it does seem rather similar yet again), then I have at least a hypothesis for Halo 4 (if not a theory):

The UNSC Infinity somehow arrives at this sphere, is set upon by defenses/Sentinels, and is drawn into the sphere. Before it does start getting drawn in, some of the Infinity's crew attempt to escape via the new escape pods or Pelicans (as seen at 1:06). What remains of the crew links up with Chief.

Does anyone have agreement? Disagreement? Other ideas?

The ship is in fact the UNSC Infinity. Not sure when or how it will be in Halo 4, but we'll see. As for the 1:06 analysis, 343 really messed up. That is Primoridum's cover art, but apparently it's also for Halo 4. It's just confusing.

I agree it's the Infinity. The number on the side of the ship at :28 matches no known ship number, and as the Infinity is the only other human ship in Halo 4 we know of, it stands to reason that's who it is.

The cover art for the Forerunner saga is/was concept art for Halo 4, they said this months ago.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

They said concept art that isn't going to be used for halo 4 is being used for the forerunner trilogy covers. Hence why i said not to take CONCEPT art too seriously

I know that Roberto, but the reason why they would make such a change baffles me. Couldn't they have had their artists make custom covers for the Forerunner novels? Just sayin'.

Why are you here?

Sounds like a plausible theory, if the concept art is actually what they're planning to put into the game.

It's still a CONCEPT ART trailer. We don't know what parts will be in Halo 4. I doubt the Primoridum cover will be in the game.
