Subject: Is Halo Cryptum a part of the official story line?

I read some of the crap in Halo Cryptum and it made me want to take all of my legendary edition halo games and trow them out the window and cry in a corner. I just wanted to know if it is a real part of the story, or one of those book rote by a rich halo fan that was published, making it a "fan fiction" so to speak. If it is i will probably never play halo again :(

How is everything a lie when we don't even know the economy or common midset of the UNSC or Earth Gov? And if you read the book you would know it was nowhere implied that the forerunners made us.

Your a "huge halo fan" but you are going to play call of duty because you couldn't understand one book?

OK i really want to get this right, I always though Halo was the best interpretation of Life in the future. But this book put some much stuff in the universe,I just really don't like humans being here living with Forrunners. It makes Zero since to me.

Nearly everyone else understand it fine. Get over it. But I know how depth in a story is too much for most people.

It's one of the most unlikely visions of the future in 500 years I've ever seen in science-fiction.

I think mass effect has it best...'cept the super space ships (despite being crap in comparison to the covies) but where humanity is and how it gets there and what it finds.

Would you really expect humans to use ballistic weapons 500 years in the future?

Halo is a Sci-Fi game. Not realistic fiction. Sure, large parts of Halo are realistic and interesting but it's all fiction.

Nowhere in the book did it imply or say that we were created by the Forerunners. The only thing that was implied is that the Forerunners and Humans were created by Precursors. Also, if you look at Human history today, the timeline Cryptum set out makes perfect sense. The Forerunners wiped out Ancient Human Civilization. What remained of the buildings were most likely destroyed by Halo and decayed over 100,000 years.

If you really are 16 you need to learn how to take the time to read and not skim through a book.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Retarded OP is retarded.

How about you actually read the book, half the stuff you've come out with is made up. The rest is mindless convoluted drivel.

Vampirates is even more unlikely, though it is more fantasy/general fiction and not sci-fi. It's set in the year 2500 and something, where pirates rule the oceans, there are vampires etc.

I don't read -blam!-.

You do know that the premise behind Cryptum was already revealed in the H3 terminals, IRIS campaign, books, and in Evolutions..? There is nothing in that book that should have come to a great surprise to you bro...If you say you're as big of a Halo canon fan as you say..?
Besides...you should know that any published books with the Halo name on it are considered tier 2 canon.
Granted, Cryptum did have some very unsettling parts and backstory it is still as much Halo canon as any other book in the series.

SC = Supreme Commander/Supreme Canadian.

De Facto leader of the military of the APE (Allied Planets Empire).

Coup = Admiral Asskicker, ZPM hive ship

Only problem I have with Cryptum is the whole 'Ancient Humanity' bit. And the Captive. Aside from that, Cryptum is by far my favorite Halo book. But that's just my opinion.

Your a moron. It never said the forerunners created humans it was clearly implied that precursors created both of us if not everything.

The entire book is filled with subtext; The Humans Aligning with the San Shyumm is supposed to show how allies turn into enemies like with the "current halo". Not to mention i highly doubt you have really read any of the other books if you are seroiusly ranting about that. The whole subplot with medicant bias and Didact in the terminals; you really need to learn the lore.
