Subject: The ability to post Images should be given to higher titles.

You may be special but that doesn't mean you're useful

Higher titled members have show their dedication to the community, and should be trusted more by mods/ employees. Going a long time with no bans should give them the option to post images.

This would come with more rules, and would only be used every now and again, but I think it would be a nice perk to not getting banned.

If the ability to post images was given to anybody else the results would be disastrous.

Just imagine the amount of damage Spartain Ken could do now he's a Fabled member...

I'd be fine without that abillity. There was a time when I dreamed of being able to post pictures on the forums, then some yahoo posted lemon party in a private group that I moderated, and I had to clean it all out.

>_<

It's honestly not worth it, linking to photobucket works just as well anyways.

People would still abuse it. Fact.

People abuse the "Reply" function all the time.

Get ya popcorn and eat the thickest dick if you think I would waste time lyin to any of u.

They should at least allow it in private groups, along with the option to turn off the profanity filter. I don't see why not. If the administrator of the group has a problem with it, they can opt to have it off. If a member is abusing it, they can easily be removed from the group.

They would mythically abuse their powers.

Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

You know, I highly doubt many of you guys would post anything obscene. Just saying you would because you have the ability makes yourself look like even more of a fool.

How do you know that higher titled members can be trusted more than regular members? Sure, higher titled members usually follow the rules, but that doesn't mean that they wouldn't abuse a system such as the one you're proposing.

Absolutely not. One's dedication to the community is not always reflective of their title. A person can post occasionally for 7 years and still be a mythic. Why do they deserve that power?

A high-titled member that posted inappropriate images would be banned, rendering them unable to post images even after their ban, since they'd likely be a regular member for a while after the ban. So yeah, higher-titled members might abuse the system, but all the higher-titled members willing to do so would be rendered unable to post images after their initial misconduct.

Maybe Forum Ninja's, but no one below Forum Ninja should have this privilege.

I always wondered why they couldn't post images. They are the trusted ones.

Genius idea

All mythics should be able to post pics

I agree, not because I have a high title, but because I believe users should be rewarded by good behavior.

I say, however, that it's not given to just users with a high title, but users who have the Exalted prefix, and have been active for a majority of their stay. This way, users who make an account and just leave for 3 years wouldn't have this privilege.

Giving it to Legendary and Mythics wouldn't be too efficient, because you gain a new title primarily based on join date, therefore, if a user from '04 (for example) gets banned for posting an inappropriate image, he will shortly regain that title with little effort. If there were timed bans for the privilege, it would be a different story, though.

Not a single other forum I visit has this problem, including forums with more activity than Bnet. I mean, I can see why normal members might be inclined to post inappropriate images, especially since there are so many young kids here. But someone with Heroic or higher isn't likely to go on a nude-photo-posting spree, and if they do, they wouldn't be able to just hop on an alt and do it again.

However, I'd like the ability to ignore posts/threads to be implemented before allowing members to post images.

How, exactly, do you justify this opinion? Just because someone hasn't been on this website for years and years doesn't make them a young kid or affect their likelihood of conducting themselves inappropriately. Most of the mythics I've met are the same age or younger than I am. And even so, there are plenty of "young kids" who would know better and plenty of "adults" who would abuse the privilege. Age has nothing to do with it.

I wouldn't support giving anyone the ability to embed images, if only because it's so likely to derail threads even when used appropriately. It almost always happens when employees do it.

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

Too bad being a higher titled member doesn't mean your post quality is high too. There would be a cringe-worthy, overused image in basically every thread (LOL GUISE ARNT MEMES GREAT?! XD). Heck, even the employees have posted some old and lame pictures before.

Having said that, it could potentially cause some humorous situations but inevitably, it would mostly be seen as spam. So it will probably never happen in the main forums for understandable reasons but I definitely think we should get the ability for private groups.

I don't trust burritosenior with the ability to post pictures in the slightest.

A). This.

B). I know like five people in the Coup group who lost their Mythic titles because they started spamming when the whole MLP thing came around.

I barely trust Lukems with that power, and God help us if Urk ever gets a hold of it.

This.

I doubt people would post inappropriate stuff, but the ability would be overused to the point where it would be a nuisance and annoying that only certain people could do it.
