I'd like to be half-man half-tree in an octopus' garden in the shade.

How, exactly, do you justify this opinion? Just because someone hasn't been on this website for years and years doesn't make them a young kid or affect their likelihood of conducting themselves inappropriately. In my experience, the fear of losing a title tends to prevent higher-titled users from posting things that would be against the rules. It's rare that I see a blatantly against-the-rules thread posted by a titled member. Higher title doesn't equal more maturity by any means, but it does equal a lesser likelihood of going against the rules.
Most of the mythics I've met are the same age or younger than I am. And even so, there are plenty of "young kids" who would know better and plenty of "adults" who would abuse the privilege. Age has nothing to do with it.By "adults" I meant people that are more mature than others. This forum tends to have a lot of immature people on it, so shock sites and similar rule-breakings aren't uncommon. Also, it's certainly true that the average age of people on a forum has at least a loose correlation to the general maturity level of that forum.
I wouldn't support giving anyone the ability to embed images, if only because it's so likely to derail threads even when used appropriately. It almost always happens when employees do it.That's only because it's such a rare thing currently. It'd derail threads for a couple weeks maybe as people adjusted, but after that it wouldn't be a big deal.
