Most girls I've been with were hesitant about taking it in the mouth. But once they did most would swallow. I got tons of compliments on the taste.

I think it's because of my diet. No fast food, no alcohol and lots of fruit.

I'm personally still undecided, although I know I do want something that eliminates a lot of stupid things the moderators have to care about. It would be great if they only ever had to truely ban people for posting shock sites and the lock, because you guys could ignore for all the minor infractions. That's probably a fantasy, though.

Quite possibly one of the only things that you've said that I agree with. Maybe it's because you think it's a fantasy. :)

I feel like I should be able to say whatever I want to say to whoever I want to say it to. If people should choose to ignore me by collapsing my post, then that is their option. Self-moderation is always the best course. I think I've always argued for fewer moderators and fewer pricks on the moderation team.

Moreover, I feel like I should be able to discuss whatever topics I want to be it religion, -blam!-, or the like. There shouldn't be a filter on what we write, but for others on what they choose to read.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

A lot of people have seemed to bring up changed users into the equation, which is extremely accurate. Everyone can change with time, and many do change with time - it's like a mathematical equation. Here's an idea to play with:

Post selector?
After your ignore time has lapsed, a message appears in you inbox with ten randomly chosen posts made by the person you have ignored for the time you have ignored them. You then have the ability to scan the posts and the proceed to continue to ignore the user or choose not to, which will result in you being able to see their posts again. This would be a more convenient approach rather than solely going into a profile and searching manually.

Note: The second idea would flow much more nicely with people collapse post idea (i.e. posts made by the person ignored) so they can readily be seen if the ignorer wants to.

The thing is that, for whatever reason during the ignore phase (off B.net, not noticing every single collapsed post, or even a user not wanting to have anything to do with a user, and not clicking that collapsed post to show their post) the user can change in regards to the ignorers perspective. This simple idea could allow the user to quickly deduce if any change has been made to suit their standards or expectations.

If the ignore idea has an on/off at will feature
A user could also have the capabilities for this to be performed at will. They would head on over to their "ignored users" - or whatever - list, and can click on a "Random Post Selection" button next to the particular user they wish to investigate. The ignorer can select a "from" and "to" date, how many posts they'd like to see, and they would instantly obtain the randomly chosen posts by the ignored user, fitting in with the said parameters. They then can decide to no longer ignore the user.

The thing I like about this idea, is that it allows the user to chose when they want to give the ignored user another chance, be it after one day or one billion days.

Posted by: Zealot TonyIf I'm going to ignore someone, it's probably going to be for good. So "cooling-off" periods are, in all likelihood, pointless (at least short-term periods of time). The post selector idea seems like an unnecessary burden for users to have to wade through each time the block expires. If they want to ignore a user, it should be as simple an unobtrusive as possible.

That being said, IMO, it should probably be nothing more than a list of users who you've ignored with links to their profiles. If you want to see if they've "changed", you can "unignore" them and go check for yourself at any time. The main problem I have with these things like "timeouts" and "cooling off" periods is that it complicates things and takes power away from users, which is the complete opposite of what this is trying to achieve. For example, if I can only ignore someone for a week (ie. not permanently), it's going to get annoying to have to keep "reignoring" them.

This doesn't seem to be an issue with regards to the PM blocking system either. Why is that?

Sorry Dazza, ignore the cool-off section and re-adverse all criticism to the "Random generator section". I realised the problems with the cool-off, hence I removed it from my post, before you posted :P

Ignoring or "blocking" users would use the same type of system, but I'm still debating whether the ninjas should be a part of it...when we visit the queue, would be have to look at a few users because a lot of people ignored them?

I want absolutely no part of that. If a system like this were implemented, people could ignore anyone for anything. "Anything" is just that; doesn't automatically mean rule-breaking.
They're not being blocked because they're breaking the rules. They're being blocked because well....we just don't like them and don't care to acknowledge them.

You missed my point. Duardo was debating whether or not we should have to investigate people who are being ignored a lot. I strongly disagree, and laid out why.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I agree, people don't want this feature to deal with people who break the rules, they want it to ignore people they don't like or disagree with which I think is a waste but whatever. I don't understand why people need a button to do this.

Nobody has said that they need it to ignore people. Nobody at all. Stop saying anyone's saying that. You're lying.

Also, don't say "I think is a waste but whatever" as if you're shrugging it off and not going to address it, only to address it in the next sentence. Your mood looks conflicted and you seem silly.

Oh , well as an admin that's your problem...as a simple number on the boards I have the luxury of not needing to think about that.

1. Not funny. Nice try, bucko.
2. Do you know what you just said? I don't think you do. Let's take a look, shall we? "If you don't need an ignore feature [...] why do you need it?" Do you realize how ignorant you appear right now, ken? Do you?

I just got finished saying that NOBODY has say we need it. You know what else we don't need? Saved threads. We can just look stuff up, am I right? But they help us to find old threads we like or wish to reference EASIER.

We don't need avatars. They're just silly little 90x90 pictures. We don't need them to identify people. We have usernames/handles for that. But they make it EASIER to identify people.

We don't NEED an ignore feature. I can choose to ignore every post you make, ken, of my own free will. I can. This is true. But, supposing I wanted to ignore you (not saying I do, necessarily) I could use this "button" [feature] to ignore you much easier. It makes things easier. It allows for a more pleasant experience for people who utilize the feature, and other that are used to make the experience more pleasurable.

Now... stop using the word need, when nobody else is.

You're really starting to get on my nerves, y'know. With your sassy -blam!--and-bull attitude and the herp-derp-I'm-so-cool ego, it's pretty pathetic. Stop being an Internet tough guy, and leave, because your -blam!-'s getting old, fast. I'm not the only one who thinks so. It's absolutely retarded that you would be such a douche on a godamn gaming forum.

Which is more pathetic, the kid who thinks he's cool because he can talk -blam!- behind a veil of anonymity, or the one who's on here all the time? lolpissoff

Chill? You're gonna tell me to chill? No, -blam!- you. You can't send me -blam!- like this in a PM because you get pissed when I call you out on being a prick and then you don't want people to know how much of an ass you are. I don't even give 2 -blam!-s if I get banned anymore.

We need this -blam!- ignore feature, and we need it now.

When are you going to get it through your head that I'm not doing anything wrong and that you just need to grow up and learn to take things with a grain of salt and not worry about them as much.
