If they haven't responded yet it's probably because your PM wasn't that important to them.
Pretty much.
For example, I don't reply to;
1) Join my group requests.
2) Undo/repeal my warning and/or 3-7 day ban.
3) Give me my title back.
4) Will I get banned, will you sanction, can I get your pre-approval, if I were to make a thread about ______?
5) Does this dress make my ass look fat?
There are no good/safe/proper answers to any of those questions and (in most cases) my reply will only tend to piss someone off more than they already are.
Why not number 4?
I can understand not replying to messages that ask you to 'pre-approve' threads, but is someone asking if they're going to get banned for a thread that's in a 'grey' area so bad?
Because a PM description almost never matches the reality and/or since the resulting discussion/reaction can't be forseen, any "yes" answer is too risky.
People should read the rules for themselves, and if they think that a subject/topic is "risky, but worth the risk" then don't complain if the consequences are negative. Otherwise, find a better place to post your dream topic.
