....then why do people act like it does?

Why do people leave in the pregame lobbies?
Why do people post threads and brag about beating "high ranks"? I thought rank =/= skill? You're so ignorant you might as well post a thread about beating a group of warrant officers.

You see my point?

I see you point there.

Today is a good day to be a Spartan

Your point is more valid now, than you could have ever imagined.

With the Waypoint Custom Challenges, I now have 3 friends that are now Inheritor's, and one of them has LESS than 3000 games played.

The old formula was 7000+ games to make it there, but no longer the case.

Rank does NOT equal skill, only credits earned.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Nevermind. I'm not sure if I'm reading the OP incorrectly.

Just walking away from this one.

Rank =/= skill

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

Because everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

The 343 forums suck. They're full of retarded kids and mods who got butthurt in the B.net forums for being told that they're bad.

YES!!!!!!!

25000 Cr ever 10min.

There are several methods in earning Cr via Custom Challenges, and if done right, you can now breeze your way through to the higher ranks.

As one example, I have another account, and have done Custom Challenges for FF Doubles. Every 2 games I earn an additional 12,000 Credit and then redo them, for 10 games or so.

I have been hitting the current Credit cap within 2 1/2 hrs, and went from just becoming a Field Marshall, to Mythic in just over two weeks.

The Custom Challenges are there to make it easier for everyone. All you have to do is work them and you'll see what I'm talking about.

This.

rank may not equal skill, but it does indicate a certain knowledge about the game, because even a complete skill-less idiot would have a working knowledge of the game when they get to the higher ranks.

I've seen inheritors who can't aim for -blam!- yet know ever detail of the game well enough to compensate, thus allowing them to be better with less skill.

knowledge is power, and knowledge is easiest gained over time.

Through rank it could show experience which could mean a possibly skilled person but with the novas and higher now a days they are all just guys who cheated their way up and have hardly any skill.
