What is something that just pisses you off? Mine would have to be people that reply above a quote. Achronos, I'm looking at you. We read from top to bottom, jackasses.

Anyway, I hate when someone will leave a totally irrelevant comment on a thread. Oftentimes it doesn't make sense.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I only really get annoyed when someone posts in the wrong forum. I couldn't care less about how someone quotes.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

The only ting that aggravates me anymore is a member trying to help a fellow member, and the helping member obviously hasn't the slightest clue.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I'm not the only one using the avatar I chose.

Constant idea/new feature threads in this forum.

Having a forum entirely dedicated to discussing how to improve the forum is like having a college degree in which all of the jobs in that field are teaching that degree in college.

I'm looking at you Oceanographic Engineers.

I agree with you, OP. I also don't like it when people leave the blank line above the quote.

Achronos didn't start anything. People choose to reply above the quote because they want to.

Also, nothing (truly) bothers me.

My pet peeve is the same as yours, OP. It's an annoying trend that Achronos started. It makes absolutely zero sense and only causes problems.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am annoyed by people who act rudely towards others and I am esspecially annoyed at people who try to act rudely to me when I didn't do anything to them or break any rules.

Unnecessary quote boxes, especially large unnecessary quote boxes. Quoting is needed, but the forums get a crazy sometimes with three word posts after a 4 paragraph quote, then the next guy quotes both posts and adds his 3 words. Just ridiculousness...

OT: People who put signatures in there posts.

Whenever an employee posts it usually becomes a hot topic, and from that point on it's about whatever they said.

Out of all the forums I've been to, it's only really thing here. Achronos has, presumably, been doing it since he first started posting here ten years ago. Posting above the quote is getting more and more popular and you honestly think Achronos' posts don't influence anybody's decision?

This was totally said in the last thread about pet peeves. And the thread before that. And the thread before that...

Nothing to discuss really. What surprises me is why these aren't locked because it's pretty evident that discussion can't get brought up again without being recycled.

I was mainly referring to threads with a question looking for an answer not based on opinion. It's incredibly annoying to me when a question is asked, like "Where is the proper place to post X", and 50 people reply with the same answer over the course of 3 days. Is it really that hard to read a few replies before determining whether or not your own would benefit the discussion?

Repeat threads looking for opinion based answers, like this one are essentially unavoidable. New members can bring new perspectives to an old topic, and older members can have a chance to update their opinions, so I don't mind repeat threads of that nature.

I'm sure his posts do influence others, but he is doing it for the same reason others began doing it: When you quote someone, there is a gap at the top, so instead of clearing that space out, people choose to reply in that portion of the post-reply instead of in the portion below the quote.

All I am saying is that Achronos did not start a trend. Everyone has a choice. Either they may quote people in the manner of which Achronos does, or they may not. If they choose to quote (as such), that is their doing, not Achronos'.

Perhaps I'm just splitting hairs, but that's how I feel. He may have put the idea into other peoples heads, but it is their choice whether or not to post in that manner - not his.
