Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

I'm intrigued, sure. But at the moment, I don't think that it'll pan out to be a product worth my time. If/when I'm proven wrong, I'll spend my money on it.

And whether or not Bungie would have continued Halo is debatable. If they were still under the Microsoft umbrella, then they'd surely be making Halo games for the next twenty years. But given the choice, I don't believe that they would.

The Destiny IP concept was started between the Halo 2 and Halo 3 releases. I would say that they were itching to start something new. Hell, Bungie could have made a ton of Marathon games, like the fans were begging for. Instead, they moved on to Myth.

Okay, so what am I supposed to do? Buy a game that I don't want? It's less of a boycott, and more of a "oh, a game I don't have interest in, I think I'll pass on buying it," situation.

This is what I find hard to believe. If you're such a big Halo fan, then how are you not even a wee bit interested in what's going to happen to the story? Yes, okay, I get that people are butthurt because it's not Bungie making the new series. But, it's still Halo. Even if it's not made by Bungie it's still continuing the story that Bungie would have continued if they hadn't made Reach.

I stopped reading when you said Reach was a "fantastic" game, you are just a Bungie Fanboy admit it.

Lol, I find it funny how you say that anyone who likes Reach is a fanboy.

Indeed, it is sickening really. Oh, this person doesn't jump on the bandwagon, so lets flame his ass up and down the forum for -blam!-s and giggles! Sickening.

Indeed, anybody who likes Reach, or doesn't view it as anything more then a pile of -blam!- is a fanboy/idiot.

And those who say that are the people being falsely accused of bashing others blindly.

Why wouldn't it? Halo 4 is from an unknown developer and we don't know anything about it. I'm a big Halo fan and I don't feel any hype at all yet.

Mass Effect 3 on the other hand is the third installment in a consistently amazing series from Bioware; it'll end the story, tie up everything, we've been shown plenty of footage and previews -- of course it's going to beat Halo 4 for most anticipated game.

I feel negative hype because I'm scared of what Halo might become: an annual shooter that will try to compete with CoD. 343i not creating a new engine is a bad omen. Also the plot might get a little wacky.

shivers, but yes Halos quality may decline under 343 so I believe ME3 will be superior and it deserves more attention

I didn't vote Halo 4.

I know absolutely nothing about Halo 4! I would like to know what happens to the Chief, yes. Bungie did good in making me care about him and Cortana. And admittedly, in the books, whether 343's book or the ones before their Era like 'Fall of Reach,' I grew to care about them too.

But that doesn't mean I am excited as much for the game itself. When we get more information than just 'This game will eventually come out,' then we'll talk.

I am a monument to all your sins

halo 4 is too far off, and we know too little about it to be really hyped for it yet.

The Halo series is dying, this shows it. Mass Effect 3 trumped Halo 4 for the title of Most Anticipated Game on Spike's VGA...what say you about this Halo forum?

I say that there's a few hours of ME3 footage out there for all to see and judge, and Halo 4 has none at all.

Because you know they're going to hype the hell out of it.
