Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I'm happy. Good riddance.

Bungie clearly showed with Reach that they needed to step down from Halo and leave it in better hands.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

I'm sad Microsoft will permanently own the soul of Halo, but I'm glad Bungie has their independence again. I'm looking forward to seeing what this breathing room will bring.

Agreed. Reach was a sad disappointment.

Same. I'd like to see what they will come up with now that they are working with a clean slate.

I really wish they quit when they were ahead instead of making Reach.

But on the other hand, I'm interested to see what they can do now that they are free from $$$soft.

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

They have made a great series, its a shame they had to leave though. I hope they can hit it their new game off on the ps3 just to piss of Microsoft.

I really want to post the picture of the jump to conclusions game here.

How do we know that Halo is in better hands? We have yet to see anything campaign related from them, the multiplayer maps are cool but they had a great set of blueprints.

I'm not saying Reach is perfect, far from it, but it was not a bad game and there are many areas that improved over Halo 3.

This. Microsoft isn't the best for Halo, but now Bungie can move onto bigger and better things.

Well they technically did. Reach and ODST were contractual obligations from a result of their leaving

No u

I'm glad to see them go after Reach. Now we have 343 to look forward to with Halo 4.

Because we already know 343 isn't going to create the stutter that was Reach.

343 won't admit it, but they know the majority of the fans don't like the game.

Well, we can be sure of one thing... Halo 4 will have good cut-scenes :P

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

Ideally, Bungie could have stopped at Halo 3. Instead, they had to do two more games (don't get me wrong, both ODST and Reach were great) and then hand over their precious IP.

In a perfect world, Bungie kept Halo, but moved on to a new IP. I don't like seeing 343i with an IP they didn't create. I have no faith in 343i, thanks to recent events, but I'm happy that Bungie now has the opportunity to create something new and amazing.

You must lay a sacrifice on the almighty altar of FRAG. It demands you get 4 kills with 1 laser shot.
Only then will the gods be appeased.

Me: Im going to hell...

I find it to be a very good thing for us gamers. Those who love Halo will continue to get new games out of that love (from people who love Halo as much as they do), and the Bungie lovers get a new IP. Everyone wins!

I Fully Agree with you. Reach And ODST Were great games, and i'm personally glad they made those two Extra games. However handing over the IP of Halo was the price of becoming independant of Microsoft and i have no faith in 343i whatsoever. I'm looking forward to their next best thing and hope it can truly rival what Halo has done.

No faith in 343i thanks to recent events?

Please tell me you're not another 10 year old who thinks Halo 4 is ruined because 343i didn't show a trailer at the VGAs?
