Don't tear it down until you try it. Few think they'll actually enjoy it, but I hear it's the language of the gods. :D

I love math and problem-solving. But C#/C/C++ sounds too godamn difficult to do all day.

On a side note, it'll be FREAKING AWESOME if we all turn out to be Bungie employees.

Perhaps we should move this to my group if it gets locked or make a different topic on the same subject.

This is pretty cool, admittedly. We're just gonna chill here 'til someone comes along and spoils this discussion. On another note, I've saved this thread.

@Izak: That would be indescribably superb.

This thread could be our secret hideout. Maybe no moderator will find us here :)

And yes, it would be amazing if we all became employees. The chances are against us though unfortunately.

I'm just worried about the open careers changing and I think I'd need to do more research into the job, but I have no idea how I could do this research without just looking like a total fanboy and or or someone who just wants to find secrets on the new game.

Groups of people have a higher chance to stick together and break odds.

I know. The jobs are sure to change. I don't care about looking like a fanboy; we all visit this site regularly, are we not all fanboys, in a sense?

I usually just come to b.net to visit my group. I frequent the community forums though.

But I have to say, fanboy or not, I would love to work for bungie.

  • 12.13.2011 7:27 PM PDT

Agreed. I don't think I'd really take up a job with a different gaming company, either. Bungie just seems, like, the place to be if you want to make games and not go through hell doing it.

Yeah, but I don't want to look like the oblivion adoring fan.
I just want to know what I'd be doing before I jump feet first and regret it later.

Oh, no; I'm not suggesting that. Bad. I'm just maybe considering taking a few classes (I already know the basics and then some), and then seeing where I stand.

You shouldn't take any classes until you know where you want to be and have an appropriate major selected that you should work towards.

This. My first major was going to be Computer Networking, but I could barely stand it because it was so boring. I'm happy I switched.

No idea what I want to be, so I'm good. (Freshy in HS)

I know I want it to be something with computers. Web Design just might be it.

Yeah, every penny and second you waste on classes you take that doesn't go towards a major for a job you're absolutely sure you want is wasted.

I never actually took a networking class in college, so that's fine. I did go to a school for networking though, and I hated most of it.

My school offers about two computer-based classes; my whole town is full of idiots. Off-topic: Wow, we've just been having a conversation for 40 some replies.

I went to my regular school, and then a second school for networking. My parents and my advisor said I should major in networking due to my experience, but there was just no way.

And yeah we have ahaha.

I'll be taking networking in a few years. Personally, I don't find Comp Sci boring. I think the problem is how they teach it in Universities. Not very efficient. I have a Computer Programming exam in 9 hours and I'm studying for it all night. Java - Inhertiance.

In that case, I suggest you do what you can to basically finish high school and switch into a running start type program (that shoots you into an almost free college experience) as soon as possible.

One of the last classes I took in college was a career planning one, it was very illuminating, I'd recommend it for anyone who just doesn't know what they'd want to do.

Above all, work very closely with your councilors or whoever helps you plan out your education. By the way I hear it, the number 1 problem students run into is self advising

I think we should start a group or something and take this newly declared conversation out of the moderators hair.
