Subject: It's like a Cycle

When I say a Cycle I am talking about the Bungie community itself. I will be honest, I don't come as often anymore. However when I do it seems like the only thing that ever is changing is the graphics of the website itself. The community always seems to stay the same. Same people, same events, same groups, same threads, same questions, same memes, same policies, and the list may go on. I know that this is one of the reasons I tend not to visit as often, because well. It seems like nothing interesting happens much.

I see the same "known" community members always here, as if they never get less satisfied of the activities and bored of things. It is almost as if they are always finding something within the semi-limited resources available to make something of it. Even though in my opinion the reality is it is still the same. I really don't see much new, is it that most active members participating actively within this community just wanting to help? Are you guys here to become known and make friends with the other community members here? Or do you have no general reason but just come and become part of the cycle?

Sure I know alot of you come here because you love the game and the atmosphere of the developers, people, and the community itself. And I agree with that too, and I assume that is another reason I wander here. But I have a question for the members here that are always actively participating, that have been here for awhile, and well appear to not notice the cycling events and such. Have you guys ever even got bored of the community, do you notice what I view as this cycling community? And if you do why and what do you do to stop yourself from drifting away? Or what is it that stops you?

I always find myself drifting away because nothing catches my interest, and nothing seems to be new and exciting enough to be worth getting involved and participating in. I understand that this is a strong matter of my opinion too. I'm tempted to say I would like things within the community to change but I don't know how or what would be satisfying and how it would be changed. I don't know why I made this thread either... randomness

You seem to answer the question you're about to ask in some of your paragraphs. This whole thread could be simplified to why do you come here?, at which I'd answer the community.

Yes.

I've noticed a cycle to noticing cycles to noticing a cycle. Even noticing the cycle eventually becomes a cycle. This a an intensely cyclical community. More so than most other ones I've associated with.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

I bet someone will post this exact thread a few years from now.

This paragraph seems indicative of the Community forum being the same all the time.

Basically, I make the best topics ever.

Feedback!
Duardo: This thread is locked for being stupid.
cortana 5 : It's perpetually my time of the month and I'm just grouchy.
Foman: I see absolutely no reason, either theoretical or practical, that this is not a superb idea. Excellent work, my friend.

Oh the irony...

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

No matter how hard I try, I can never not give a bit of a chuckle at your coup gif.

Anyway, I stay for the Blues Brothers references. If that's a part of the cycle, then I accept it.

It's just like Mufasa said: When we stop posting, our accounts become deleted, and the new members take the names. And so we are all connnected in the great Circle of Life (on B.net).

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I will admit, I have found myself rather bored around these parts lately.

That's the less developed theory (there's a lot of optionals between and some missing main points), but that's a good example. :D

I'm a college dropout.

I've never seen a serious thread by you... ever.

Anyways, I tend to stay and comment on threads or reply to comments from people I know. Otherwise, I tend to comment on the same types of threads because usually different people participate. I like to see what people will say in response to my comments.

I actually read the OP feeling as if it were, in fact, a serious topic. :P

Perfect it is not, but hey, everything else is just a variation on those themes.

Oh but yes, once the first couple cycles went through with me things got a lot less interesting. I still browse occasionally when I'm at home and have nothing eventful going on.

There's a treasure for all of us. For some it's a friend others find a pet and many a lover. The whole adventure is finding where it's hidden.

That treasure doesn't include my avatar, you copycat.

Even Cam's cynicism of the cynicism of the community seems to follow the cycle here.

Meh. Members come and go so quickly that I hardly notice any cycles anymore.

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

Top reasons for me being here:

1. Bored.
2. Waiting for something cool from Bungie to happen (take DeeJ's Ride Along for example).
3. I like to speculate on Bungie's games.
4. I like to answer questions.
5. Wait, how did I get here? This tab wasn't open before...
