This is a legitimate arguement. I still don't completely agree. But it was sprint that really messed up the melee system in this game. That's why mlg had to implement a 3 beat down system. i honestly wanted bleed through in this game because of the sprint/double beatdown. It really isn't fair that someone can do that when the objective is to shoot. You shoot 3 times melee then the guy who melees once is now on equal ground with you.
I never found double meleers to be a real problem. Usually, if they are running far across the map at you, you can de-shield them either before they reach you, or as they melee you. You don't have to melee as they do so if you hold off and squeeze of just one more bullet and de-shield them, then you can melee and kill them first with no trade.
If they come close quarters at you, there is less you can do, but attempting to de-shield while they are meleeing is a very good strategy.
With bleedthrough, the problem isn't solved so much as everybody dies. People just AR death-charge which was endlessly complained about in Halo 3. No matter which system is put into play, there will be some cheap way of killing. I just like the no-bleedthrough more because you CAN be smart and walk away whereas with bleedthrough and AR death charging, it's more of an inevitable trade-kill.
