I'm planning on having a LAN party using the Anniversary map pack for halo reach. Is it possible for only one xbox to have the map pack and still play through a LAN?

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

No, all of the xbox's must have the map packs or else they will not work.

Nope. All Xbox's must have the maps. That shouldn't be too hard if your inviting Halo fans.

Possibly, but only for two xbox consoles.
I hope you come back to read this workaround.

Just copy the maps onto a usb or hdd, and sign in to xbox live with the profile you used to download them on a second xbox (not the one you downloaded the maps on) this will give this console the digital rights to use the maps for the session.

Then leave the first xbox (the one that originally had the maps) disconnected from xbox live, and the rights to the maps will still be good to go.

I've done this a couple of times for Halo 3 lans, so it should work for Reach too.

Jak,
Follow up questions. Let's say I do everything you say I should. I do this because you are smart and I am not.

So now at a LAN party with myself and 7 other friends, all of whom do not have any of the map packs, we play Reach. Friends 5-8 are on my console enjoying the maps, and I sign in and load up the maps as told to do above on a friend's XBox.

The question: Are poor dumb Friends 2, 3, and 4 able to play the map packs with me as well? Or are the map packs limited to my account? Do they need to be my guest? Or can they access the maps with their own gamer tags?

Thank you!
