...What? Duelies gave a stab at it after CEA was released, but was unsuccessful. Beyond that, I haven't heard anything. Evidence?

If you fight through one of the areas in the second part of the level and don't bring your warthog into that area, the pelican drops off an extra. You can do this twice without ending the level, for a total of 3 warthogs.

There was actually a thread about somebody completing it here a month or so again. If you dig back a few pages you should be able to find it.

I just skimmed back to CEA's release. I didn't see a single completion thread in that period; all I saw was one thread asking about the possibility of the challenge.

Did I miss something?

Same here.

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

must be farther back then. There was a thread though of someone completing it before CEA actually came out.

...

No, there's not. T2T was completed back in June, but obviously that's not "T2T in CEA."

Also, and this goes to everyone in the thread: when making extremely wild claims, please back them up rather than asking the people who disagree to go find evidence otherwise. Seriously.

There was a video included with proof. I remember it was one of the other oldies(nestegg, maybe) who created the thread. I'll take a look through his posts.

This is the video. It wasn't that long ago it was posted, which makes me think it had a strange title or the thread was deleted by a renegade moderator.

That's the original T2T video that I was talking about, from back in June.

Not CEA T2T.

It's the same thing, just different graphics.

1-You're evidently missing the point. Not that I'm personally particularly dumbstruck by the new graphics; I actually like the old level Halo a lot more than the new one.
2-Several skulls actually make T2T a lot easier to set up in CEA. The launch itself should function pretty much the same in what is likely the optimal skull setup, but it's still hard to call it "the same thing."
3-In a perhaps overly strict sense, CEA doesn't function exactly the same as the original game. There are a few minute differences. For example, this and several other bumps no longer work.

How long does it take to set up?

How long does it take to set up?

6-12 hours in the original game, depending on how familiar you are with the process.

Somewhat less in CEA if you use piñata and bandana to ease grenade collection.
