....spongy, bungie, who cares? I got mine!
ATLAS, IMO, was a poor move by 343 and Microsoft to make a little extra cash. Notice it's free on Windows (Microsoft OS) Phones but cost on iPhones (Apple OS) and Android (Google OS) phones?
$4.99 for iOs and Android and Free if you have a Windows phone. I don't call that Loyalty to customers, hell if Halo was still Bungie's, and they came out with this ATLAS bull-blam!-, which I know they never would have, otherwise it would already be out, I'm sure it would have been free.
I'm still under the assumption that the reason Bungie released Blue Flames under APPLES OS, and not Microsoft's is to big Microsoft 1 more big "-blam!- You". Remember how Halo was suppose to be a 2 series game? Well, you can blame Microsoft for Halo 2 getting cut in half and the second part being released as Halo 3. In the Limited Edition disk on Halo 2, I believe it is Joseph Staten is talking about production of Halo 2, and how "it was a [game] with [10?] levels, starting on Earth, going on this GALATIC romp and ultimately coming back to Earth for this Grand conclusion"
Well as he's saying all this, they are showing a white board with level ideas, one being "The Ark". But noooo, Money hungry Microsoft decided, "WE NEED THIS GAME TO SELL XBOX LIVE, -blam!- THE CAMPAIGN, And we have something new coming soon, Called the Xbox 360, we need all the fans who're in love with the Halo story to buy one, so cut the game in half and make us a 3rd one, 360 Exclusive." To drive console sales obviously.
Halo sold the Xbox
Halo 2 sold Xbox Live
Halo 3 sold the Xbox 360
Halo ODST didn't sell anything since Bungie were basically out of contract and didn't care.
Same with Halo Reach and Halo Wars.
Now, Microsoft is trying to do the same thing with 343, Adding Kinect functionality to Halo CEA. Big gimmick. The voice commands lag so bad behind when you say it it makes it useless. The only thing remotely cool about it is the Analyze and Scan features.
Which worries me about Halo 4. I'm sure they're going to try to push the Kinect sales even more and have it integrated, possibly (God I hope not) REQUIRED to use with a Kinect. Don't get me wrong, I have a Kinect, didn't pay a dime for it (Thanks Shopkick ;D) but it just doesn't work well with games other than sports games.
Blah blah, rant over.
