Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

America is behind most other western countries in overall internet service to its population.

Looking at the overall internet speeds ITT, I noticed I would probably be mistaken for a Mexican if I ever pulled host.

You being a Mexican is still possible, no proof has been given as of yet.
Forum Tryhards has a picture of me.

Somewhat tempted...

I could repost the link.

Why is hypocrite spelled with an E at the end?
The I in crite is not pronounce as eye.

So, on the one hand I spell it out exactly as it should be.
You follow the standard set before you by fools who can't even get a handle on the rules of their own language.

Yet Americans are the first to cry about other countries connections.

It doesn't change the fact that physical distance will lead to ping lag.

There's also packet loss to deal with over those distances.
Exhibit A

Never denied that but I'd wager that America to America would have more packet loss etc compared to Australia to Australia or Europe to Europe

And check out Telstras new 4G network (Can't wait to upgrade).

It's still less than country to other country.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Pretty bad, but not the worst.

Possibly. I'm a networking retard so I don't know what ping represents, or how to improve it.

The time it takes for information to travel on your connection in thousandths of seconds. So your 42 ping is 42 thousandths of a second. 500 ping is half a second and so on.

I thought it was something like that. I knew a lower ping was better, but I didn't know why. I'd like to improve it for sure, along with my upload speed. My upstream bandwidth on Reach's Network Status menu is always in "WARNING!". There was one week where it improved to say "Average". Hasn't happened since.

Do not play halo much anymore. Barely ever come on here.

10 down, 5 up. Don't feel like speedtesting it since I know it already.

If you're on a cable right now then the only way to improve would be to start paying for a fiberoptic cable, but those are extremely expensive.

That over 100 Down and 10 up with 5 ping connection I posted is a Youtube guys fiberoptic cable connection that costs that around $100 a month.

Mother of God. I don't make nearly enough for that crap among everything else. I'm not entirely confident I'd make enough for that if/when I get on a city department.

Road Runner sure isn't doing it for me, though. lol
