my upstream bandwith went from average to warning the other day and i dont know why. its been average for months. it went from average to warning right after i downloaded the update for xbox live. is it bad to have it on warning? does anyone know how to fix it?

maybe i have too many devices connected to the router?

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

It's not even accurate, don't worry about it. Mine says Average even though it's as bad as cottage string cheese.

No one knows what the -blam!- it means.

It's like green bar in matchmaking. Doesn't relate to jack -blam!-.

mine went from good (whatever the green one is) to warning when i started playing in the anniversary playlists. everything seems as fine as ever, though... meh.

Well, since the release of Halo Reach mine has the following: Undetected -> Good -> Average -> Warning -> Average -> Good -> Warning -> Undetected -> Warning -> Average -> Warning -> Average.

As you can see it is 100% bang on accurate and will never lie to you!

Your best bet is to stop other devices using your connection while playing Halo Reach. This includes: computers, laptops, mobile phones, iPods and just about anything else electronic in your home.

You actually remembered it changing?

I think 'warning' means you're connecting through a router?

Like it's warning you that other devices on your network could lag things up.

That's the only sense I can make out of it. Not even Bungie can explain it.

Maybe 343 will explain it to you.

mine is warning. i have -blam!- internet. mines slower than an Aussie on DSL downloading a terabyte of pronz

I've never seen anything except for "warning" since day one. Suppose due to good old stone age Australian internet. Cant wait for fibre optic to be turned on in about 12months :)

There's people with 30mb upload that get warning.

Better internet is not guaranteed to change anything

  • 12.16.2011 2:09 AM PDT

i think its your upload speed, not sure. Mine has always been red but everything else is green.

mine was good then warning

whats weird is when mine was on warning i rarely got black screens and it was okay but now it went to average not its crappy and I get black screen more in every game. I know it has something to do with my router so i'm glad i'm getting a new one. Netgear!

My upstream went from average to good a few days ago. I didn't see any difference, the lag in the game is mostly attributed to the hosts connection.

Fear the yellow snow

Same here warning since day one......ive never lagged out everythings good.

I would only start to worry if it effects your online gaming.
