Subject: Daleks vs Flood

The bible is the best book Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AM A PROUD CHRISTIAN. HALO IS AWESOME BUT GOD IS MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!
Did you knew that JESUSdied for you?

Obviously the flood wouldn't be able to infect a single Dalek (they have a very strong armor), so Daleks win.

But as greatest threat against humanity what do you think is worse?

Think I'd rather be killed by a Dalek because it would be quicker. Also aren't Daleks invertebrates? So the Flood wouldn't be able to infect them anyway.

  • 12.16.2011 12:46 AM PDT

There's a treasure for all of us. For some it's a friend others find a pet and many a lover. The whole adventure is finding where it's hidden.

That treasure doesn't include my avatar, you copycat.

- Treasure Island

No offence to the "Doctor Who" fans out there, but the Daleks are meaningless in front of the Flood in every imaginable way. That's why they can't be compared, not only because the Flood is naturally a life form which strives to survive.

What do you mean by "meaningless" (not trying to be condescending here, just curious to your opinion)?

Why are you here?

Probably, but the Flood are so large in numbers and so quick to take over the Daleks wouldn't beat them in a domination situation.

(lol rhyme)

Flood's and Universe's Warhammer 40k fanatic and the one who knows much about it.

I also like House Stark and winter, hurr.

This thread is now about ignoring Dr. Who's lore. Way to compare Flood to Daleks, halo fans.

Er... what?

The Flood = space zombies.

Daleks = mutated Kaleds inside near-indestructible shells genetically engineered to have every emotion removed except hate and have the ultimate goal of eradicating everything that isn't a Dalek.

Space N@zis > space zombies

If a single Dalek is enough to wipe out the entire race of Cybermen and almost any other race in the galaxy, they would have no trouble at all just elevating and picking offt he Flood forms. It's not like they can take any damage because they have shields about a thousand times stronger than MJOLNIR...

Seriously, the Daleks are way up there in terms of capability, and as the Flood don't have the Doctor or Bad Wolf on their side, they lose. Hard. They likely never even exist in the first place.

See now we just need Daleks vs Necrons not anything from Halo.
Halo is pathetically weak compared to many universes.
Ohh yeah and the flood lose hard.

Halo n3w8. FPS n3w8.

What the f0ck is a Dalek?

Whatever, even though they may be invertebrates, so are Grunts, and Flood still beat the shjt out of them anyways.

Besides, the Flood is led by the single most sadistic, selfish, vile nihilist entity in existence; Gravemind. They have perfect coordination in thought and in action, being controlled by one individual mind (therefore they cannot possibly disagree with one another or have dissension between inside factions), and they proliferate exponentially.

Besides, were it not for Halo, the Flood would have killed not only all of humanity, but also all life in the galaxy, or even the universe.

In short, Flood pwnz all.

Educate yourself, young one...

Whatever, even though they may be invertebrates, so are Grunts, and Flood still beat the shjt out of them anyways.

The Flood aren't going to get much use out of the Kaled inside the armour. The Dalek's gunstick is an energy weapon, it more-or-less has the effect of being struck by lightning, the Flood can't even resist a hail of ballistic fire so they've got no chance of standing against even a single Dalek.

You've clearly not heard of Davros - the most ruthless sadistic and cruel scientific mastermind in the universe. Hell, he built a bomb that was capable of wiping out the entire universe...

Besides, were it not for Halo, the Flood would have killed not only all of humanity, but also all life in the galaxy, or even the universe.

In short, Flood pwnz all.

Were it not for the Doctor, the Daleks would have destroyed the universe, killed all the Time Lords and completed their genocidal campaign against everything that isn't Dalek (at least 4 times over).

In short, you are wrong, actually do some research before talking utter rubbish.

We should know better, because we are better.

Daleks are superior to Flood in all respects except one; the Flood is better at dying.

  • 12.17.2011 8:31 AM PDT

Flood would suffer a whole bunch of: EXTERMINATION. I doubt they'd even infect a single Dalek, let alone kill one. No matter how scary they are, the Flood stand no chance against a single Dalek.

I'd say the Flood are worse though...because there's no Doctor to stand against them :P I mean there is Master Chief, but I doubt even he could truly eliminate all of the Flood, that's something only someone like the Doctor could do.

lolno. The flood does not stand a chance against an army of daleks. IF it was 1 dalek against all of the flood, then a bunch of flood forms with plasma pistols would just keep shooting and eventually take down the shields. Or maybe sentinal beams. Dalek shields are vulnerable to their own weapons which aren't that different realy from forerunner weapons.

also plasma pistols if continually fired could do the job.

Once the flood infects 1 dalek, they would have knowledge of dalek tactics and tech. Maybe not enough to win the war, but enough to give them a fighting chance!

I don't know. Daleks are capable fighters, but we forget a few things about the Flood.

1. The numbers. It doesn't matter how capable of a fighter someone is, when the Flood have numbers, it doesn't matter.

2. If given the chance, I'm sure the flood would jump at the opportunity to infect other races, gaining access to ships and weapons.

3. Gravemind(s) are master manipulators, and can interface with technology. Who's to say they couldn't manipulate a Dalek or Davros himself?

All in all I think it would come down to if the Dalek's let the flood get into their later stages. When they get into their later stages, things become serious. For an example of this, it's pretty easy to say the Forrunners have equal to or more power then Daleks, and look how that worked out.

A single Dalek could destroy the entire race of Cybermen, a single Dalek killed hundreds of heavily armed men in Van Statten's complex, a single Dalek managed to break through the Time Lock and avert the death of Davros leading to the entire race of pure Daleks being created.

Numbers mean nothing against the Daleks.

2. If given the chance, I'm sure the flood would jump at the opportunity to infect other races, gaining access to ships and weapons.

The weapons in the Halo universe wouldn't do much against a Dalek. Technology in Halo is vastly inferior to technology in Doctor Who, especially the technology at the diposal of the Daleks.

3. Gravemind(s) are master manipulators, and can interface with technology. Who's to say they couldn't manipulate a Dalek or Davros himself?

Depends really, as I said before Dalek technology is well beyond that of Halo's. The Flood would have to act VERY quickly to get themselves a Gravemind as the Daleks can wipe out entire worlds very quickly.

All in all I think it would come down to if the Dalek's let the flood get into their later stages. When they get into their later stages, things become serious. For an example of this, it's pretty easy to say the Forrunners have equal to or more power then Daleks, and look how that worked out.

The technological level of the Forerunners compared to the Daleks is nowhere near equal, the Daleks had a bomb that would wipe out everything in the entire universe, the Forerunners had Rings that killed life in the galaxy. The Daleks could travel between dimensions, between galaxies, through time, can regenerate themselves when they're touched etc etc. They're completely unmatched, the entire universe almost lost to the Daleks before the Doctor used the Moment to seal off the Time War.

I don't know a whole lot about the flood, and almost nothing about Daleks.. So it's probably pointless trying to get involved with this discussion. However,
one thing that puzzles me about the Dalek.. It can't climb stairs.. Correct? Simply build a few walkways above the ground they're on, problem solved.. Daleks waddle around underneath you, bored to death. From what I've seen, Daleks are THE WORST piece of trash ever. Literally nothing more than a rolling bin.

like I said, I know nothing. Man, they look like garbage cans though. Much less rather fight super agile alien life forms.

Tin can waddling towards me, moaning about "exterminate, exterminate" might kill me of laughter, but I'd rather that than have those ugly critters anywhere near me.

as for flood vs dalek. Same as everyone's plan I guess.. kick over the bin, bend it's little blow gun, run up the stairs away from it's friend. (they move about 5-6mph, right?) Daleks are soooo 1930s dudeee. :/
