Halo n3w8. FPS n3w8.

I have considered and speculated about many possible scenarios for Halo 4, and so I decided to create this.

One of the things I have thought about is whether or not the UNSC could possibly be in Halo 4. They could, perhaps, have easily repaired the portal in Halo 3 or simply traveled through slipspace and made it back to the Ark. If so, could they possibly arrive at some point later in the game to aid the Chief? If the UNSC isn't in the game, will Chief be the only human in it? Or will there be others on that planet? Is the game going to take place before or after Origins? Or could Origins merely be made non-canon and a plothole? Are there going to be any living Forerunners in Halo 4? And if so, are they going to be allies or adversaries? I have considered all of these, alongside several other ideas.

Discuss what you think.

concept art doesn't mean a thing. If you even read Glasslands you would know the Infinity isn't ready whatsoever.

I haven't read Glasslands yet but I have some speculation on Halo 4's story based on my knowledge of the Halo universe and the Halo Anniversary terminals. I think that Chief will definitely be alone for quite some time of course he will have Cortana but I think he will find himself in the middle of a conflict between A.I. from what I recall there are still other Halo rings with monitors that could have gone rampant and isn't Mendicant Bias still alive ?

Bias is dead unless he is piggybacking off cortana.

  • 12.16.2011 6:30 PM PDT

To be honest, when I first saw all this in the weekly update I thought 2 things.
#1- there is an actual legendary ending but,
#2- No matter what anyone does,(kill all the bobs, hit all switches etc) that until the "time" mentioned in "There'll be another time..." is reached there won't be a legendary ending.

The weekly update by bungie has slowed my hardcore search for what unlocks the legendary ending.

Bias is dead unless he is piggybacking off cortana.
He was on the keyship when the covies left. If cortana was indeed fighting it to delay the launch, then it could be possible that he is piggy backing off her without her knowing. Her going rampant doesn't help with her either. Mack and lokie demonstrate that problem of being rampant.

Theres also the other possible fragments of it as well.

Don't Think too into it seeing how he clearly stated he was going to die not to mention he had a very good run,. Though if he is piggybacking off her that isn't the reason she "isn't going rampant". That started in halo Origins and will be elaborated on in the next trilogy.

If he is piggybacking, imagine what he could have done to MC's "combat skin" while he was in stasis? Pure speculation of course.

  • 12.16.2011 7:07 PM PDT

A lost ship full of marines would be the best way to explain an UNSC presence.

That is the Mark VI using it's limited amount if nanites; it was brought up in Glasslands that Mark VI had a limited about of nanomachines as it was being tested for Mark VII

We are still out ruling the Flood and no they are not all gone. I think the Gravemind still plays an important role in the universe, the Gravemind is probably the most intelligent life form in the universe.

The Flood have no reason to be removed since they are the driving force of the lore. And if you Read cryptum carefully you would see that the Ancient humans ruled out it being a precursor. Not to mention there are dates in Cryptum that don't add up to that ether...

UNSC Infinity

Concept art means a ton if it's released before the game comes out, sure we probably won't see the exact same situation or design as the concept art in the game, but generally if it's released well before-hand then it's pretty definite that the idea is going to make into the final product in some capacity. Take the demo level released at E3 (?) before Halo 2 came out, that exact level didn't make it into the final product, but we still got a remarkably similar level where we're running/driving around the streets of New Mombasa.

We don't know when Halo 4 is taking place in relation to Glasslands, so I think it's a little presumptuous to assume that the Infinity won't be complete or ready in Halo 4 just because it wasn't in Glasslands. Do we even know how far along it is in Glasslands?

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

Glassland stated that it is in 2552 to 2553, aftermath of the war.

Halo 4 takes place in few years after Halo 3 and assumed Glasslands. It may be 2557-2558. Remember, Infinity takes long time to be prepared. Glassland says that they cannot do precise slip space jumps with calculations.

There's without a doubt in my mind that Infinity will be in Halo 4. There's been to much info being released about it.

That was the worst scenario you could have tried twisting into an example. We got an extremly stripedd down version of that level not to mention a large amount of content in that demo didn't even make it. I am being nice in not elaborating further, but that is a horrible example coma.

Origins takes place 3-4 years after halo 3 since Cortana is starting to go rampant. Glasslands takes pretty much ends at the memorial at the end of halo 3. Bits of Glasslands takes place in halo 4 not the entire novel or everything that was introduced.

The main bits were

-Installation 3
- Mark VI having limited nano technology.

There might have been a few more but that is all i have off the top of my head.

UNSC Infinity

There you go.

  • 12.16.2011 7:38 PM PDT

I'm not saying that this is going to happen I'm saying it would be cool and definitely give me piece of mind. I think it'd be cool if the opening in the planet on the Halo 4 trailer was actually the opening of the Shield word cores altogether through slipspace, the reason I want this to happen is because it would mean that the Master Chief would be re-united with Blue Team, meet Sabre team and also learn of his fellow Spartan's fates (talking about Kurt, Will and the other Spartan-III's of course) This would also be cool because it would give us an opportunity to see more than one Spartan in-game other than on 2 player on Halo 2, Halo:CE or Reach. Plus it would be interesting to see how Chief would adapt to the new Spartans and also how the old ones would react to meeting their former leader. I know this is all far-fetched so don't go trolling because of it, like I said it's just what I would like to happen and if I'm being completely honest, it is possible. First post too so be nice XD

UNSC Infinity

concept art doesn't mean a thing. If you even read Glasslands you would know the Infinity isn't ready whatsoever.

Exact quote:

"It's a project called Infinity," BB said. "To be exact, Infinity is a warship - a very, very expensive prototype, because she's been fitted with every scrap of Forerunner technology we've picked apart during the course of the war, and now she'll benefit from the tech Halsey found in the sphere. Unfortunately, the Woodentop Navy needed to know about her because even ONI couldn't hide anything that big in the budget, but it's still known to only a handful of very senior officers."

He got a smile out of Osman with Woodentop Navy. It was what he called any branch of the senior service that wasn't ONI. "So how about all those yappy shipyard workers and technicians, then?" she asked.

"There's not much yapping they can do when they've been permanently deployed in the Oort Cloud with full comms lockdown for the past few years," BB said. "Would you like to see the schematics?"

He flashed up the deck-by-deck blueprint on the screen to her left. She rested her elbows on the console and leaned forward, lips slowly parting as the full wonder of Infinity began to sink in.

"Ooh," She hovered on the edge of a smile. "And all that wonderful kit Halsey's found." Then the smile iced over again. "Is that really why she went to Onyx then? Did we misjudge her?"

"Oh, good grief, no. She didn't really know anything about Infinity, believe me. She would only have tried to take over the project. No, the crazy hijacker act was just that. Crazy. Not a cover for anything."

Osman's gaze went back to the blue-prints again. "Who's going to have command?"

"Andrew Del Rio's been driving her for a few years. It's not easy to find competent commanders who can drop off the grid unnoticed for that long. And we've had some Spartan Fours out there for a while too. But with the slipspace navigtion refinement, I think Infinity's going to be ready for the trials a lot sooner than expected."

Minus the slipspace navigation technology recovered from Onyx, it is basically ready to start making trial flights. And, paired with the rate at which the UNSC has recovered so far from the War, this could easily be within the next few years. I'm rather positive that "isn't ready whatsoever" would not be a phrase to describe the UNSC Infinity.

Draw what conclusions you want from this short (and only for that matter) text on the UNSC Infinity. But your idea of where the UNSC Infinity is in its production cycle is a gross overstatement.
