I wear the cheese, it does not wear me.

This account is now retired due to WLID changing. Webteam needs to fix that, seriously >.>

... What would happen to it? I heard the "webmaster" has long since retired yet I clearly see an ape with a fetching hat and a bottle of booze in video's, pictures and snapshots people have taken of the webcams.

Realistically speaking, the Webmaster probably won't respond.

  • 12.16.2011 9:57 PM PDT

Pardon my ignorance, but while we are on the subject, does anybody know where the "letters to the webmaster" section on the site has moved to? Is it still available for viewing?

First off, "it" is a he. Secondly, he's a man. Thirdly, he's a man in a gorilla costume, not an ape. Fourthly, your letters would go into his inbox, obviously.

Aye, but that is why I ask.

I found it with the help of google. Interestingly "bungie.net let" brings up an autocomplete option of exactly what I was going to google which leads me to believe the webmaster is popular with google. Maybe he is acquainted with googles flying monkeys...

I don't think that excuse applies any longer, unless he's been leaving a yellow trail around Bungie studios.

1). "It" refers to the letter
2). I'm sure she is a fine man
3). I'm not so sure and gorillas are apes
4). Phew! I'm glad I know that much. Now to find out what happens after.

Yeah, he'd read it after a nice long cold beer, and maybe after he will reward himself with a nice cold beer.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

Oh, wow. I didn't realize it's been almost five years now. That's quite a hangover.

Why wonder when we could actually do it. Tomorrow I will write a letter and send it to him.

Last time I wrote the Webmaster a letter he sent back a bunch of dirty pictures.

Basically, I make the best topics ever.

Feedback!
Duardo: This thread is locked for being stupid.
cortana 5 : It's perpetually my time of the month and I'm just grouchy.
Foman: I see absolutely no reason, either theoretical or practical, that this is not a superb idea. Excellent work, my friend.

I received an answer a few years ago. It basically just answered my question with flowery and rude diction.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.
Bungie's new game: Particle

I once recieved a letter from the Webmaster consisting of only a treasure map. After saving enough money to take the voyage to Lima, Peru, I started on the hunt. After a series of complex booby traps I finally reached a massive room with a strange looking box in the center. I opened the chest to discover the unconscious body of Stosh holding an empty flask smelling of whiskey. I never opened another letter.
