There's just as much weapon variety without bloom as there is with it. I'll still swap my AR out for just about anything to be my secondary. From a Spiker to a Needler a good secondary can be very helpful.
Even so the reintroduction of bleeedthrough makes the AR much more lethal up close making it much more useful than in default.
On top of that is the fact that when your reticle blooms the aim assist increased notiably thanks to the larger area of the reticle, between that and firing at a cadence shots become much easier to hit because as a player you're very rarely under any pressure to make a shot count.
Now without bloom aim assist remains constant, bullets go where you shoot them and you can fire at a faster rate which means you need to be more accurate in a shorter space of time. You still have to perform the same actions (land 5 shots), but now you need to do them with less aim assist and in a shorter time.
Those are facts, and if they don't make it sound more challenging than hoping to get lucky or firing slowly (thus allowing you a lot of time to readjust your aim between shots) then you're simply incapable of seeing how forgiving default Reach is and how much it handicaps good players by forcing them to shoot at a certain pace or to rely on luck.
