Then The Disembodied Soul kills you.

Kind of left that part out.

Slightly more related:

It would be cool to see Bungie handing coupons. You'd get coupons for winning contests or other things.

Me: "Hi, I'm here to redeem my points."

The Disembodied Soul: "First, you must convert your points to tokens."

Me: "Tokens?"

D. Soul: "Yes, tokens."

Me: "Then do I get my stuff?"

D. Soul: "No, next you convert tokens to coupons."

Me: "To coupons?"

D. Soul: "Yes, coupons."

Me: "Then do I get my stuff?"

D. Soul: "No."
Is this that trick where I convert my currency in between every currency in the world and then when I get back to points I have like 50 more points than I started with? (Reference)

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

So that is why no one has the statue.

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

I'm fairly certain that when Bungie takes over the world, the amount of Bungie points will be used to determine your place in the new world order.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

While the Bungie points system looks extremely cool, remember that this was from the days before Halo CE's release. If they tried to implement this again now they would have a much more difficult logistical problem setting it up. The points would have to be all digital, probably unlocking digital content.

That sounds good. OR the Bungie points are linked with your Bungie.net account/Amazon account where you get a code you input for the points either for Buying one of Bungie's games or like you said digitally through Amazon order history.

Fact of the matter is, bungie will never give us anything decent for free. Not you young members and certainly not us older members.

We got a ton of digital stuff for free. Besides, to get all those points you have to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Myth The Total Codex used to sell for like $30.00-$40.00 on Bungie.net and you only got 10 points.

I like this idea better. Amazon has an effective system in place for rewards (I don't know if you are familiar with their pre order bonuses), which give you a reward code automatically when you buy a qualifying item. Maybe every time you get something from the Bungie store (or a Bungie game on Amazon?) you get some Bungie points. Redeem them for some token of your achievement, such as a B.net logo, an Xbox avatar prop etc.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

Active 9/1/11, Heroic 12/25/12

This reminds me of the old days when I saved Kool-Aid tokens.

As stated before economically it would be extremely difficult because of the scale of Bungie. Personally I think re-implementing the point system would do more harm than good.

That could work, Bungie could set up an Amazon rewards thing and they could have like different things for various points. So instead of mailing, you redeem codes on amazon.
