There was a tear but no crying, but not only for the reason that it was breath taking but because just knowing the fact that there is no more halo after this makes me mad/very sad

The music got me. It went along so well with the trailer that, that, a tear formed. It didn't do anything else. just was there. In my eye. Alot of screaming over the phone though, all like, "Dude! have you friggin heard!? Halo 3 has been announced!! -blam!- yes! damn......78 is my least favorite number right now...." and then i cussed, out of pure happiness. I didn't like cortana's face when they showed it thought. It seemed........different........I really didn't like it. Anyone else noticed this? Lets hope bungie keeps the old feel of H2, but lets in a new feel, a good feel.

Well, I didn't cry (honest) but when I read the news I ran through my house screaming "OH MY GOD" then i watched the trailer, yelled "OH MY GOD" and "YES!" at the graphics (and the return of the MA5B) and turned to my brother, who said "time to get an xbox 360

normally I'd say its just a game but this is different

Tears of joy were funning down my face! When I actually have Halo 3 in my hands I will ball my eyes out!

I agree that ps3 sucks. Halo 3 is the final game in the trilogy, of the billions of halo fans they would want to buy an xbox 360 over over a ps3 so theycan finish the story of this epic trilogy. I think that bungie did this so they could help their microsoft buddies get some money for xbox 360 sales.

After waiting 30 minutes for the large version trailer to load, I sit with the volume turned up, the lights turned out and my face less than a foot from the monitor. When John stepped out into the sun and Marty's amazing music score hit.... indescribable. It Felt like I was finally getting to see Halo as it was meant to be, in all its glory. And yes, I did feel like crying for joy somewhat, but it was overcome by feverish excitement and pride the next minute.

People say "It's just a stupid video game and the developers just want to lure you into wasting your money". Then why when I watch the trailer to I feel attached to the character I see? Why do I read the books written about it? Because Halo is more than a video game, it is a story. And a totally awesome story at that. In my mind the Halo trilogy is the greatest game series ever made. Thank you Bungie for not settling for the mediocre or run of the mill, but only the absolute best fantasy the human mind can imagine.

Now I must go back to reality (sigh), and wait there until 2007.

P.S. Normally I would be interested in such things as PS3 and other things E3, but now... All that matters is HALO 3. Period.

“I believe that the sound of racking the pump of a shotgun is universally recognized as ‘kiss your ass goodbye’.”

I had a tear in my eye. Because I knew this was the end of a saga and of how beautiful everything was.

I cried not only of shear joy, but just thinking "this is it, after this its over man, it's over!" That got me torn up. I only wish i could have been there, in that audience at E3. After this gaming is dead to me, nothing could possibly top this moment and this trilogy, it's the Johnny Cash of video games.

I'm going to go watch the trailer...again

Anyone else get a little emotional with the trailer? When I saw Cortana, and saw the chief close up, I'll be honest, tears flooded my eyes. Anyone else?

You are a nerd. No, I thought the trailer sucked personally, I just didn't feel the adreneline pumping thru my veins. I mean yes, I LOVE MC and Cortana, but it didn't really make me say WOW this game will rule.

Not so much tears, but rather a slow lump forming in my throat followed by a giddy school girls yelp of exctiement, followed by dancing. Yes, lots and lots of DANCING!!!!

Haha PKMN rulz, you're from H2F (own-dizzle)

But anyways, I was more in shock. I was surprised that bungie was going to do something with an AR and BR.

I wasn't jumping around in my room... I was more concentrated on the oh-so-beautiful graphics.

The only time I've gotten teary at a game trailer was for the very first Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess trailer. I first saw the announcement in class, so I had to wait and read before I got to see the trailer so there was no big surprise. Plus, who wasn't expecting Halo 3 that was very much like this?

*Slow Clap starts up. Bravo Brotha Bravo! The reason Halo is such a great story is because it uses the typical Hero story. One person, man, being takes a journey to defend an idea, place, civilization. While on the way he changes the world, himself, or learns something about himself. This simple formula has given us almost all RPG, and almost all video games. But Halo stands above most games with its real feelings and connections to the characters, with these connections we feel almost totally immersed and feel that not only is it their journey, but also ours that we must take.

I have to admit my eyes got a bit watery before I even started the trailer download. A friend called me and told me that this was on the website and I honestly thought he was pulling my leg. When I got on here and saw it for myself I came very close to crying. When I finished watching the trailer I almost couldn't see.

It wasn't that I didn't see Halo 3 coming, I just didn't think it would be announced so soon (soon being a relative term). The only problem is, now we have to wait a year in anticipation, and that is going to be tough for me.

I haven't been on the forums for a long time and had to make a new account, but I will be back EVERY FREAKING DAY! At least until Halo 3 comes out, then I'll be playing that instead for most of my time, lol

Well I didnt exactly cry but they are swelled up. Not because the game is so beautiful and my imagination is going nuts with the possibilities. But because I can't wait until (possibly) Nov 2007.
