Sometimes, I dream about cheese.

I remember, when playing Halo Combat Evolved, the first time we (my brother and I) fought against the flood. Back then it was more chilling then fun at times. Then, when we played the level Keyes, we found a sniper rifle near a ledge that dropped down into an open room mostly filled with coolant from the cruiser above. There were two hunters in that room. Sound familiar?
Anyway, we see the sniper rifle and pick it up. We look out from the ledge and see -- you guessed it -- flood. We have a sniper rifle, and we have flood. Why not try and shot them with a sniper rifle, right? We fire, it slightly flinches; fire, flinch; fire, flinch: eventually we gave up.your paragraphs are too detailed
how about: the first time i used the sniper against the flood, i noticed it received minimum damage after all those shots i fired

Later on I got a sick idea in my head. What if a flood infection form was armed with a sniper rifle?
Its a terrifying thought: what if a flood infection form was armed with a sniper rifle.how's it terrifying? a combat form wielding a sniper sounds normal to me, maybe if it was dual wielding it with another sniper or rocket launcher then yes, that would be terrifying and sick

I'm driving along in my scorpion tank. I just finished wiping-out all armor and infantry in the middle of this open canyon. The gondola that will take me directly to the index is just through a set of doors that are sheltered by a structure protruding out of the canyon face. It had two exterior entrances more than big enough for a tank to enter. Past the exterior entrances, on the inside of the structure, there are a set of shutter against the inner wall that open up and release flood, including rocket infantry (flood with rockets). Using the tank to pass through these entrances was a big no-no because of the rocket infantry. So I went in on foot and found a high-ground ledge on the inside of the exterior wall of the structure. I climbed up there. The width of this ledge was probably equivalent to the width of a scorpion tank.
This is where the nightmare starts. I run along the middle of this ledge and approximately 5 flood jump me. No big deal, right, until I saw what was in one of the flood's hands. "Is that a" and before I could say beam rifle, the arbiter simply falls to the ground while a visible beam of light is still present (the other flood didn't even fire: 'twas a beam rifle head shot). THE FLOOD HAVE SNIPER RIFLES.like i said before, too much detail. you got killed by a combat form wielding a beam rifle, don't see why you're getting excited
