it's impossible to mod a 360. The specifications of it have a uncrackable file system. So, even if a modder opened it up he/she wouldn't be able to do anything with it.

It may be difficult to mod a 360, but people (unfortunately) always find a way. Lots of things are supposedly "uncrackable", but theres a way to get around everything. The real problem isnt cheaters though. they exist in every game and the only way to stop them is to discourage/ban them. There is no "perfect" fix for cheaters. However, the dedicated server idea can be good to stop bridgers, as long as it is implemented correctly. I trust that Bungie will do the right thing.

Help a brother out. Click on the referral link, sign up for a fun game, log in once for the next couple of days, then you never have to think about it again!

And yes. I understand how pathetic that is, but nobody reads these things anyway... right?

Also on modding the people who do it are not so bright because the people who actually made the mods for the system in the first place the ones who spent countless hours and thousands of dollars on Xbox's and made the software have no intention whatesoever of cheating they just want to get more bang for there buck in video games and to combat their curiosity of the endineered world.

I do not support cheating but I feel that the people who actually make mods not to cheat should not be all put into one bad category.

I agree that some mods are made for fun, and only used privately, these I don't think should be illegal. But you also must look at a mijoraty (sp?) of the mods now. I see all the Spawn mods, and auto head shot mods. You can't say with an honest heart that those type of mods were made with good intentions.

No system is ever 100 % hack proof. The 360 already has a firmware hack that allows you to run back up games and play them online. Team xecuter just made it easier to do the firm ware hack. connectivity kit

There is also a modchip in development modchip

One way to protect halo 3 from being modded is by encrypting the .map files but enctrypting wont help much since it can be decrypted.
