Should either the health bar or fall damage be brought back, or both? I feel that it makes the game more realistic (only slightly ;)) and therefore more enjoyable.

Any thoughts?

I think fall damage should be back to a degree, not necessarily as strong as Halo1's. And definitley bring back health bars, I like to know when I am a few shots from death, not guessing. i just think it was more fun with health bars.

Have a modified fall damage inplimented. I hated the lack of fall damage changing gameplay in halo 2 but Halo in some situations had too much fall damage. Make insta kill from fall only in rare higher hights and have the usual fall damage just be a draining of shields with a single or two health bars taken away so it is a thorn in the side if you are trying to escape and hide in a gun battle (you choose either risk of more injusry or run towards the guy who is shooting at you).

Also yes the health bar should be back no more of this infinite life ruining skilled gameplay. I don't care if I die a trillion times just make damage done to me and by me accountable past 18 seconds (the estimated time for full health recovery in halo 2 ).

Have the health bar system from Halo 1 and fall damage. But make health regenerate slowly over time ala Halo 2. Say the latest armour can slowly repair minor wounds or something, I don't know. But that way you can see how much health you have, whilst doing away with medikits.

Best of both worlds really.

Both should be back. However, fall damage should be moderated from Halo 1. In Halo 1 it was a bit too much, especially some of the smaller falls. The health bar would be a great addition also, I'd take Halo 1 shields any day too.

Small fall damage but not like it was in HCE and no health. Shields recharging is one of the best parts of H2.

Minimal fall damage (i.e. really stinkin' high takes off about half of your shields), and slowly regenerating health.

Both fall damage and health back. My reason being that with the addition of both of these elements, the game would require much more skill. In Halo 1, you couldn't go on a running riot as easy as in Halo 2 because you generally lose health for each person you kill. In Halo 2, someone can walk around with, for example, the sword and be almost unstoppable in close range because every time you encounter him, he has full health. Bring back both of those elements to aid the process of making Halo 3 a game that requires someone to have alot of skill in order to be good.
