I find it funny how the TARDIS type 40(Time and Relative Dimension in Space) a ship that is obsolete by it's creators standards is able to be anywhere and anytime in the universe also the fact that a random timelord managed to steal it

While UNSC-Covenant finest ships struggle with slip-space (travles that may take weeks or months). Even HaloWars forerunner fleet pales in comparison. Do you think forerunnerships-precursors ships were able to match the Tardis?

There are hints that forerunners might have experimented with time-travel tech. But they might be behind rimelords.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

There is no time travel in Halo, the slipspace crystals have the ability to dilate time but there has never been an example of widespread use of time travel.

TARDISes are about the most advanced creations ever, especially since they contain the Zero Room, a plain of existence inside the TARDIS where nothing can affect it and can encase themselves in a time loop when in danger of being destroyed. TARDISes can become completely invisible, change their appearance, can be turned into machines that enable paradoxes and can be put out-of-synch with time so nothing affects them.

Reminds me of the Onyx shield world when I think about it. It couldn't time travel, but it certainly is immune to anything you could throw at it.

Lol A Police Box vs. a Shield WORLD! Hardly seems fair...

For the Shield World!

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

Why is everything so overpowered while the tech in Halo is more understandable and under powered?

We should know better, because we are better.

I give the Doctor one hour. He should be able to dismantle the entire Forerunner empire in that time.

Well, first off, Doctor Who was partially inspired by a crazy LSD trip (I -blam!- you not, some elements actually were) and second, I often think of contemporary Halo fiction to be more down to earth and real to create a stark contrast to the friggin' rediculousness of the Forerunners (and do note: the Forerunners admitted themselves the Precursors made them look insignificant; by comparison, the UNSC is a microbe). This makes the mystery and wonder of the Ancient races stand out more, imo.

Obviously, an episode of DW only lasts that long.

But seriously, that sounds like you're strething it.

He did it five seconds before you asked him to.

Looking for clan that isn't too serious? Then join the ODST 501st Airborne Battalion. Go to http://www.501st.forumclan.com for more info.

I would feel safer in a titanium ship rather than a wooden telephone box.

well you could argue that the Taris is a bit overpowered

The TARDIS has a forcefield now, doesn't it? The Ninth Doctor installed it before fighting Daleks, and they couldn't get through it. I doubt plasma or MAC guns could get through that force field if the Daleks can't.

As for weapons, that's a problem. The TARDIS has no weapons. If it had the normal armament of torpedos (which can travel through time, or so I remember. Might be wrong.) then, yeah, the Halo universe is finished.

Hell, if there was a nasty incarnation of the Doctor piloting the TARDIS, he'd activate a Halo ring then go somewhere else for about two seconds, then come back with everyone dead.

I suppose the TARDIS could use its tow rope and individually drag each ship into a black hole or make it disintegrate in the Time Vortex. :P

Nasty incarnation, you say? We're drawing close to that, as the Valeyard will hopefully be brought back soon, he was the Doctor's dark side made physical around his 11-13th regenerations. We saw him as the Dream Lord in series 5.

So what? How is that valid in a debate you started? That doesn't add to the debate, if it's overpowered then that surely answers your own question that the Halo universe would lose (which it would).
