"Except we, we're the zebras. All fenced in...and ready for the slaughter!"

This was a pretty long but interesting read from Bnet past. This case study was preformed by Microsoft Corporation in June of 2005. The summary is provided below.

Posted By: Microsoft Co
Summary: The Bungie.net site is the online companion to the wildly successful Halo 2 video game for Xbox, released in November 2004 by Microsoft. The site also acts as the community hub for all things related to Bungie games. Built with the Microsoft .NET Framework, Bungie.net serves up more than 4 million pages per day, accumulating 300 gigabytes of online game statistics per month from more than 1 million games played daily. Deemed "Most Innovative Design" by IGN Entertainment in 2004, the site provides innovative ways for users to view game statistics and details as well as interact with each other through forums and team Web pages. The release of the Bungie.net site represented a milestone in online console game play. This case study provides insight into this accomplishment.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

This was posted up a few months back. Still an interesting read nevertheless.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

That'd be a pretty massive undertaking at this point.

Agreed, it would require some major updating and downtime.
This would also result in little boys complaining.

Cool find though, the updated one was a funny read-through.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

The 2004-05-06 years were among the best i ever spent on this site.

I thought they cried enough as it is. I don't even want to know how bad it would be if the site was down for a bit.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.--Teddy Roosevelt

I don't think there's any site or developer that can compare to Bungie.
