although they're legendary and sometimes fun when you wanna mess around

I think the skulls were way too annoying (not hard, just annoying) to get, and really were a waste of time. It can be fun to find the glitches in a game, but that also takes away from the game's immersion. You lose the feeling that the game is an actual place.

They dont need them in there, like i said before, but mabe some more subtle glitches. Maybe like the ramming the warthog through the door trick.

no skulls. it would ruin the game. even if the skulls r hidden, this is the ending halo game. dont ruin it w/ skulls

This guy is on the ball. Bungie established the game in Halo CE, then they poked fun at it in Halo 2, now it's time for them to get serious and make the best friggin game ever created.

Whisper Game Studios - shhhh, it's a public secret.
Webcam MVP
Sarsion.net
Bnet PM Policy

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

It would spoil things a lot...plus it wouldn't be original...

Most of all though...look at the grief they've given the forums!!! Never again!!! lol

It would be anice thing to have, but get rid of the skull that turns your HUD dark and keep the the one that makes the enemy blow up if you get a head shot.

No, I thought the skulls were a waste of time. The scarab guns was sweet though.

So no, no skulls in Halo3...just make a great campaign with amazing replayability.

Yes, or at least something similar. The skulls in Halo 2 were a great idea, but they weren't implemented properly at all, in my opinion. I'm sure they were more of an afterthought to the game, though.

If hidden skulls were brought back in Halo 3, not only should a hell of alot more attention and thought be paid to where they'll be placed, as people will probably be looking from the start, but also they should be tied together with more thought as to the hidden secret -- there really was none in Halo 2. Some gave some special powers to the player temporarily, while others seemingly never did anything at all. Most certainly a little shoddy, I think.

This time around, give the players some real incentive to look hard for them, and let them keep the effects as unlockables, though don't make it so easy as to let someone simply find their locations online and keep their reward. Each and every skull should appear only on Legendary mode, and not only that, the mission should have to be beaten after locating and picking it up. And hide some super Bungie secret behind it all or something, or make them serve as individual clues in a larger puzzle in the game. :]

Edit: Why do you guys think skulls would ruin the game? Halo 2 wasn't ruined with skulls at all, hell, you practically had to go way out of your way to even come across them. It's not hard to weave some hidden secrets in and build a great game at the same time.

I think it's a good idea. I personally didn't like the whole skulls idea but no one's MAKING me go find them. I say, why not keep them in for all the people who appreciated them the first time around?

If you have a problem with skulls, then don't collect them. For others we like something to do while we wait for Halo 3

Who ever voted no..............y on earth wouldn't you have skulls.......unless you mean you want better secrets but if u just dont want them at all then thats weird. Theres no harm to finding a few on the way.

This thread is a perfect example of how every question in history has been asked in this forum.

Shadow, I want better secrets.
