Subject: 343 GS = The Master Builder / Bornstellars Father

Just a thought... Since viewing the CE Terminals I get the feeling that 343 GS is a transplant of a once living being... a transplant of their essence into a monitor.

For example he talks in the first person as a forerunner about whether he/we actually saved the galaxy:
"I have no way of knowing whether we saved the galaxy we destroyed"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuvLyjA7axo&feature=BFa&am p;list=SL&lf=sh_e_se

This is followed by him stating that he is to be judged for those acts. Would an AI really wish to be judged by the actions of their creator?

343 GS then goes on to talk about their (as in our) self appointed role as guardians of this galaxy

This line makes me think that for taking up this task of transferring your essence to a monitor, the transferee was promised that a simpler existence... a way of atoning for a great sin:
"as I was always led to believe I was not capable of such a state. This was one of the gifts I was promised. An end to strife"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXXFNXTCoig&feature=BFa&am p;list=SL&lf=sh_e_se

In the following terminal he talks about volunteering to become a monitor and how he was naive to take on this duty... clearly he volunteered for this. Not yet heard of an AI in HALOverse yet being asked if they want a certain duty or not.

This is followed up by 343 GS then stating that "we should have done a few things differently". Again talking as if he is forerunner rather than a forerunner creation.

In two betrayals

343 GS specifically states that he at one stage opposed the Didact and his original plan of shield worlds which would have succeeded with a smaller cost. He goes on to comment that his brilliance was unsurpassed. Why would a monitor have opposed the Didact unless it was in another form, a form that had some power/respect to be ABLE to oppose the Didact in a significant manner.

In the MAW terminal

343 GS states that he feared that he sacrificed himself in vain in the firing of the array... could his sacrifice here be the 'donation' of his essence to become a monitor to safe guard the installation? :
"100,000 years spent fearing that our sacrifices... MY sacrifice was in vain"

The only 2 people to this point that I can think of that have opposed the Didact (in a significant way) is the master builder and Bornstellars father.

We all know what the Master Builder did but Bornstellars father was the 'inventor' of the halo array and proposed it as a solution so in push this solution he would be opposing the Didact and his shield world plan.

Just a small humble theory I wish to share... What are your thoughts?

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

I would love this sort of idea and commend you for it. the only issue is that 343 states he and the other mods were re-assigned to the halo's. So it might be more that they were asked. but good nonetheless.

(To discuss Halo 4.)

I somewhat agree. 2401 Penitent Tangent is similar to GS, but 049ADJECTTESTAMENT had a very robotic voice.

10/10

I'm not going to support my 'theory' blindly... its just an interesting idea I guess.

But I do remember Franke saying that Primordium is going to focus alot more on forerunner AI's and their role in the events of the firing of the ring... Of course this might just be about the intro of 343 GS and nothing more, but I would like to think that as with UNSC smart AI which are cloned brains that forerunner advanced AI/Constructs have a similar physical connection.

(I think that comment from Franke was from the recent Halo A->Z video)
