Subject: Pinacle Studio 14 no input signal

Hi there, I'm trying to make a Halo 3 montage. I connected all of my wires correctly and have attempted to get pinnacle 14 to work. Unfortunatly, I have a problem "No input signal". I have tried tinkering around with the TV and nothing works. I have tried searching for "Pal Settings" and nothing works either. I really want to make this Halo 3 montage. I am using a Dazzle 100. Windows 7 operating system. 64 bit.

Okay, do you have all of the stand YRW cables and splitters hooked up correctly?

If so, and assuming 14 is like 12, when choosing your video source in the capture menu, you need to go into the advanced settings option and choose the video source corresponding to your dazzle.

Don't FxcK with Australian TS.
We will dominate you.

Are you Australian or European (PAL), American (NTSC) or other?

If Aussie, you have the same problem as I had with my Dazzle DVC100. You may also have a problem with getting colour when you capture, which is due to the incompatibility of the Australian TV PAL standards and the Xbox's PAL standards (which are modified NTSC standards).

Secrets is right. You will need to select the source manually. If there is no colour on your capture, you need to download a program called AmCap and once you have that installed, run it at the same time as Pinnacle. When you have the source coming into AmCap and Pinnacle at the same time, apply the "Video In Filter" (found in one of the AmCap menu's) to be filtering with SECAM B. This mixed with the weird PAL standards on the xbox causes the colour to return. It's a bit annoying to do, because you have to change it AFTER you start capturing in Pinnacle, but it works.

If you're not Aussie, then ignore all that :P

Hello there, Sorry it has taken me a while to reply to your posts. Answersing the first post, no. I have all my wires hooked up correctly and I am running pinnacle studio 14. It is also called pinnacle stuido HD.

Answering post 2, sorry but no. I am not Australlian. I am American currently living in the United States Of America. I'm not having trouble with color at the moment. The only thing I am getting is a grey screen in pinacle studio streaming sound. I have AmCap as well. I seriously really need to say I'm not for it. Unfortunatly, I'm not for the quality, sound effects, music, and basic navigating. I really bought my dazzle 100 so I could use my pinnacle and sony vegas.

PLEASE READ PLEASE READ PLEASE READ

I am no longer experiencing "No Input Signal". The only problem I am having now is a blank screen error. I have already download the driver for 64 bit windows 7. I am also using an HD TV. I have switched the wire from HDTV to just TV and still no PAL settings.

I really just want someone who can tell me how do get some video rolling so I can start recording video rather then just music and sound.

Yes, yes, yes. All of my wires are plugged correctly.

As much as we are are annoyed by this technical issue I really feel that it isn't in the companies favor the fix this issue. As long as they are getting money from consumers I don't think they care or think it matters due to the fact they have our money already and none of us can fix the problem. Regardless, I really hope this problem is repaired. I have found so many people with this issue which is quite common. I'm here just like you for the same problem. Really no progress so far.

Haha, what a merry christmas this is turning out to be.

Come on people. Face it. No one is going to help you because no one cares about us. As long as everyone has their fun going on they could care any less about us.

As much as I've seen this issue at hand. I have really seen no legit solution on youtube. I really can't figure out how to solve this issue rather then installing drivers which still don't work.

Come on you people, surely someone knows a solution. Those videos on youtube are all means to the end. Those videos expect you to have everything they have which are horrible demonstrations.

Did you try this? DO you get audio? It is going to be something mischecked or unchecked in the advanced video settings unless there is a hookup issue. The procedure is pretty cut and dry otherwise.
