Who thinks Bungie should get dedicated servors for Halo 3?

Hell, I'd pay 100 bucks to Bungie to use their servers for a year, along with Xbox live costs.

servers... makes you look like an idiot..

I think i would rather see them create a game where things like standbying and bridging cannot occur.. how i don't really know HOW they could do that without having decicated servers.. or some way to detect that stuff, but im getting ahead of myself, i'd like em, but i don't think they are neccisary.

Please! That could lead to an ability for players to search through custom games, and the host advantage would be drasticly decreased.

Let H3 players make the H3 games. Bungie can be matchmaking, because many people enjoy it,but make it so that we can also jump in and out of servers in unranked games. Finding a group of gamers that creates even teams for everyone can lead to many great games.

I rarely lagged in halo 2, and, the matchmaking was revolutionary, especially the party system. Its fun to get matched against different people constantly.

pay an extra $5, no. it would not be necessary. 5 bucks to count down the cheated games by 2.

Please please PLEASE buy some servers. I would be willing to pay twice what the game costs if Bungie or Microsoft would host their own servers, instead of having individual players take host. Hell, make it an pay-by-month scheme like an MMORPG - I don't care.

The fact of the matter is that cheating has thoroughly ruined the experience of Halo 2 for myself and countless other players. It's hard to get engaged in serious competition when cheating is so rampant. Bungie, I know you've done a lot, and I appreciate your efforts. The fact of the matter is that there is only so much you CAN do with the way host is set up presently (which I'm sure you realize).

When Halo 2 was first coming out, I remember wondering if cheating would become a problem, as it had been in games like Counter-Strike. It was a truly sad day when I realized just how much of an uncontrollable problem cheating had become in Halo 2. I know a huge number of people who no longer play Halo 2 due to the cheating, and I'm willing to bet that every person on these forums knows a few as well.

You make fantastic games. Please, for the sake of everyone involved, protect their integrity.

I'm still pretty sure that Bungie does not personally run xBox live. Therefore it is up to whichever branch of Microsoft that does control xBox live to supply those dedicated servers.....

If the Rainbow 6 Series can have dedicated servers, Bungie should be able to do the same.

I say Make MATCHMAKING but instead of LEVELS use another method ... that way modders wont be dying to get a stupid number on the side of their name ...

On aspect that should be included in Halo 3 is Bungie hosting their matchmaking games. That would eliminate most cheating (most). Also I like the fact that they are bringing back the Assault rifle.

A friend of mine says he has zero problems playing other Xbox Live games with his new 360 (I don't have one myself). He says the only game he has problems with is Halo 2. I think it was more of a bad net code problem more than anything. Hopefully they'll get things worked out this time. Nothing more frustrating than dealing with inconsitant weapons.
