Was that big huge thing the Covenant opened in the center the arc? I think so, it's gotta be. And, the MC is somewhere in New Mombasa, because the bridge in the background, so he's on Earth. Oh my God I'm so excited!

Oh! And check out the story on the front page. There's a quote that says, "Under the Earth, a magnificant artifact is buried deep within the Earth" or something like that. It's gotta be the Arc.

Here's the thing, the only forerunner object that would be buried on earth is the ark. In the beginning of halo 2, when you're fighting on earth, cortana says something about how the covenant weren't expecting to find humans on earth. The only other reason for them to go there is for a fallback method of activating the rings. The admiral also says that New Mombassa is the only place on earth that the covenant decided to land and that the prophet of regret is going to tell chief why. Also, this raises the question that I have never seen asked. "Were the forerunners human?" I know this sounds like alot of speculation, but there's one more thing. In the original halo, after you get the index from the library, you go to the control room and cortana stops you. The oracle then tells you very subtlely and in fewer words that you have already activated the ring before. We all know that the ring has been activated only once before. Could it be that master chief is a reborn forerunner? Or could this even be an allusion to halo's bible similarities? Master chief dies by activating the rings (christ on the cross) which kills all sentient life (wipes away all sins), he is then reborn to reactivate the rings (christ coming back and saving the christians). Let me just tell you that i am not a devout christian and do not go to church. This is just food for thought from a book that has historical signifigance and possible future foreshadowing.
