Since the launch of Halo CE on the xbox, i'm 20.

  • 12.21.2011 9:26 PM PDT

I jumped from a 2D Nintendo and a 2D Sega to an Xbox. That was quite the leap. 2001. Maaaaybe early 2002. I forget.

Player since CE. Played it on PC and build a computer as a dedicated server for it. Had such a blast. Didn't play much of Halo 2 but picked it back up for Halo 3 right after I got out of the USMC.

Now I'm diggin' Reach.

I'm 26.

Hail to the King, Baby!

I'm 42, been playing video games since Pong.

Got the original Xbox and Halo: CE on launch day, amidst much personal skepticism. I didn't think the upstart Microsoft console could compete with Nintendo's, Sega's, and Sony's.

I stopped playng Halo after Halo 2, and didn't come back until the release of Halo: Reach, which I am so hooked on, that it's the only video game I currently play (and I play a lot of it).

I'm 64 years old.

Halo CE was the reason we bought the original Xbox. Been playing every version since. I'm well into my 50's and still play online quite often. (Okay, I've been playing C.O.D. MW3 lately, but I'm getting bored with it so I'll be back to Reach soon.) I don't have many people on my friends list, mainly beause I prefer my friends to be closer to my own age. Still not sure how soon I'll be getting the Anniversary Edition, but I'm sure I will eventually.

It was Christmas 2001... I had already opened my presents earlier in the morning. I got what I asked for. A Playstation 2 and some games I can't even remember now. After playing for a while I decided to go outside and hang out with my friends.

We were all talking about our gifts. They were bragging on about their "Xbox" which I personally wasn't interested in over the PS2 at the time. It seemed like a console that had no good games on it. They started talking about this "Halo" game. The way they explained it I thought it was some weird military shooter to which I told them I wasn't interested in playing. Eventually they convinced me.

We immediately went up into their room. They started up their Xbox with Halo already inside the disc tray. Being the little kids we were, the first thing we played was Rockets on Wizard. After that game I couldn't stop playing the game with them. Throughout the day they wanted to play other things, but all I wanted was Halo. I asked to spend the night over at their house that night and played the Campaign all night. Not being so great at FPS games, I didn't complete the Campaign. I just finished at "Two Betrayals". Once I came back home I begged my parents to return my PS2 and get me an Xbox. I would have to wait a year before I got it.

TL;DR: Since 2001. Age: 18

Herping your derp.

I've been playing Halo with my friend for a few years, but it wasn't until when I got my Xbox 360 that I started getting serious about it. Halo Anniversary Edition and Halo 2 are my most recent purchases.

I first started playing Halo in 2002 and I've been playing ever since. It's what got me to start playing first-person shooting games too.

Almost all of you guys are liars.

WOW thats kind of harsh? Just wondering how long have you been playing halo and how old are you? Without lying.

Wasn't saying it in a harsh way. But people want to feel like the alpha of Halo even though they started playing X years ago. It comes from insecurity.

wow you are a f.ucking dumb ass.

spiral out

Got my xbox in 2004 with H2. H2 will always be my favorite. I did get Halo CE for PC, as well as every other halo, but I still think H2 was the best.

22, CE got me into LAN and I played it from launch. Then H2 got me into online gaming.

Still playing Halo, looking forward to Bungie's new project.

Not sure who you're talking to, but I for one have had about 7.

One came with my xbox, and the guy said just to keep using it till it ran out. Then I made my second one that I stuck with through Halo 2, at least until the 360 came out and it wouldn't let me use it for some reason, so I made another one.

All the others have been 1 month free trials people have given me accounts from, when I couldn't renew this one. I'm currently playing on another account, that started as a free trial.
