My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Oh. But really though, every person I've seen on these forums who thinks this game is garbage, horrible, disgrace of a Halo game, etc. has the ability to only call someone a "retard" or something related to or hinting to that. Nothing else.

By "Reach-haters," I mean people who think the things I listed above. There's a fine line between thinking a game has flaws that need to be changed and thinking a game is pure garbage and anyone who disagress is "mentally handicapped."

I do not condone calling other people "retards" but in their defense, the point of frustration was exceeded long ago.

Imagine that you're a top-notch Halo player and you have been since the days of Halo 1. You win tournaments, rank high on leaderboards, and you are a known member of the Halo community.

The Reach comes out. It is filled to the brim with things that you not only hate at a personal level, but things that are absolutely detrimental to competitive, balanced gameplay. As a result, you are going to voice your opinion on the forums and make your displeasure known - hopefully enacting some change.

As you type and state your thoughts, there are a bunch of inexperienced Halo players telling you to "adapt" and telling YOU what takes more skill when it comes to Halo. You have never heard of some of these people, so you click on their Service Records. What is this? They are level 20s in Halo 3 and have never played Halo 2? In addition to this, the very game they are defending to the death, Reach, they have a low K/D ratio in and their top tool of destruction is melee!

Would that not frustrate you? That is my personal story applied to this thread, haha.

Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

I lost this argument. I couldn't come up with a good argument and had to resort to calling my opponent a name. I proved the OP's point that Reach-haters cannot come up with another comeback.

What I read.

Oh and by the way, it's spelled "feisty."

I would probably be frustrated, but I would definitely stay away from name-calling. I would also have to realize that they have a different opinion and maybe even playstyle compared to mine.

Hi.

Of course you'd read something that's not there - you're mentally deficient.

U mad! You do realize that your butt-buddies of Reach-haters do what I'm doing too right?

Just stop. You're proving my point even more. Accept that you lost the argument and don't throw a fit over it. If anything, you're more immature than I am. Grow up.

It's just a matter of looking at what a person has to say, not how they say it.

Hi.

Are you Pokemon Emerald's retarded missing cousin?

Your reasoning is beyond ridiculous, filled with gaps and fallacies.

  • 12.20.2011 4:18 PM PDT

I'm the Almighty Breadstick

Honestly, I've always thought that calling people retarded was just plain ignorant. If I were retarded, I highly doubt I can type out sentences like this, let alone speak English properly. Every time someone calls me retarded, I have the urge to throw them in the "special" classroom to show them what real retards are like.... But alas, I am just one person, just a regular old Joe. I am just an average human being, and I cannot force people to stop saying certain words because I don't like the way they are being used. Nor can I erase that word from the English vocabulary, so I can't do a damn thing. Calling a game retarded however, is just ridiculous. The game doesn't have a mind, (unless skynet were to come online) or a life for that matter. In other words Reach literally cannot be retarded, nor can Reach die, Since it never had a life or mind to begin with. Tl;dr: reach can't be retarded, people can.

And that's why I won the argument. Because it's filled with gaps and fallacies.
/sarcasm

Geez, you're immature. Shut up, you'll never be the man your mother was.

I'm through with you.

Well said.

Hi.

Calm down there, Sally. You'll learn in life that people don't want to continue debating with people who use fallacies and incomprehensive logic.

What would I gain from winning a logic battle against a retard? I'd gain shame.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

So, is there like...some kind of contest going on to see who can be more original in how they insult a retard?

We're not black.

You ever notice that though. It's like every year those -blam!-s are coming up with some other lame monkey talk.

Hell, they've gone through...whitey, honkey, cracker....
eventually they'll be right back to "yes master"

-Teraz Twoka kolej "Life is like a double-edged sword, you are one [side] of them"

sheithings, lolol
also, fusrodahsucks

When people tell that the OP is this or that, or tries to argue, he/she picks on that person's grammar/spelling.

OMFG WAT IF I MAEK LOSTS OF SPEELIGN MITSAKES!!1one?? OHH NO UR GONA STATR FOCUSIGN ON DAT ADN FFEL AL SYPERIRO!1!1one

Why does anyone even resort to nit picking on grammar/spelling? Having sub-par spelling/grammar does not make one "retarded", or even inferior to the person who nit-picks so I wonder when the hell will people realize this and stop being such a police force when it comes to spelling and grammar. Not that I care, people get told off for their horrid spelling/grammar all the time, but what gets me is that they use that as a crutch to being "superior" when all it is, is that the person who's mis-spelled a word, or had slightly broken grammar. It's pathetic really, it's like seeing children fight over who's got a better lunchbox.
