Subject: Winning Consistently

"What are we holding on to, Sam?"
"That there's some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for."

I think I remember that one....I got so lucky with a few nades and the OS spawn, GG. Most people hate citadel, I like it though.

You don't need to win 20 games in a row. Ranking up in playlists can certainly be difficult to do if you've played them a ton, but it's usually possible. You just gotta be patient and keep playing. If you're having a bad day, play social or something so that you don't destroy any progress you've made. If you win four games in a row, drop a game, and then win three more in a row, and then drop a game, that's fine. As long as you're winning the majority of your games, you'll EVENTUALLY rank up.

It's super frustrating, I know. I've been there. But find a solid group of teammates who you can communicate with and go in with the attitude that you want to win.

Truthfully, though, if you're trading games back and forth, you're probably just not good enough. That's not meant to be a slam against you. But Truskill is designed to match you with other people of similar skill, so if you're trading games a lot, then you're probably right where you're supposed to be.

Lol how is that ignorant? This game is 4 years old, a new installment has replaced it, Halo 4 is on the way, and you can spend 15 minutes searching for a match

Game is dead, move on.

120k people have played this game in the past 24 hours. 220k games have been played. How is that "dead?" It's obviously not as active as it was during it's peak days, but there are still a ton of people who play it.

If your response to everything is "who cares, this game is dead" then why did you even look at these forums?

smh

I think I deserve a 40. I always play against people higher than me.

You're absolutely right, I may not be at the point where I can earn my 50 yet based on my performance. On a good day, I usually do exactly what you said, win four, drop one or two, win three, lose one, win two.....but on bad days, I lose five in a row, which I always believe to be far more damaging than a five win streak is beneficial.

If you always play people higher than you, then you should usually go up when you win, and not lose skill so much. Just keep working at it, you'll get that 40 eventually!
