i got ideas from ppl and there pretty kool bungie should have a look!
****yea, larger maps, and support for more players
**** more destructable environments
**** no magic out of nowhere spawning
**** aliens vs humans, not colors vs colors. you need to play up their differences, make them 2 different armies with different strenghts and weaknesses.
**** mobile resupplyment via phantoms and pelicans = mobile base camps. the largest grouping of friendly players will be where the dropships try to set down at, which would mean that enemy forces could group anywhere, could move anywhere and have their(vehicles, weapons, troops, contructable turrets) and thus establish a base anywhere.
Larger scale, 100 vs 100 battles
change the respawn system----
rather than magically appearing out of nowhere, out in the open where someone with a rocket can gank you, why not have drop ships that periodically attempt to land in allied territories.
when you die, you'll respawn inside a dropship filled with spartans. dead players will simply be able to take control of a lifeless spartan sitting inside a drop ship, and be able to jump out into combat, or stay inside intil landing in a safer location.
this way we experience
- less spawn camping
- enhanced realism
- more satisfaction and point to killing someone in an objective based fight
this could eliminate alot of the suffering that games like battlefield 2 have.
killing an opponent simply starts a timer for the opponent to spawn.
this is the same for vehicles.
the end result is less satisfaction per kill.
(( kill a tank, and you may simply have been better to let it drive by, because another may spawn at your objective and screw you. ))
(( be forced to eliminate/ seize/ intercept enemy weapon supplies and vehicle supplies or be met with double enemy forces minutes later when extras arrive --- ie the player has actually made an accomplishment when he destroys weapon crates, destroys vehicles, kills soldiers. if he hadnt done so, there would be double the ammo and double the vehicles for his enemy))
If vehicles and troops were redeployed ever 5 minutes into combat, it would mean that---
---taking out the tank would prevent you from having 2 tanks to fight as soon as a new one drops
---killing a player would serve to REDUCE the number of enemy combatants on the field, rather than causing them to spawn 15 seconds later right on top of you.
---- new game mechanic / objective- destroy enemy dropships to stop reinforcements.
i think these additions would make multiplayer gameplay feel more meaningful, and certainly be more intense as more facets of war (supplies, redeployment) would be introduced.
imagine running out of sniper ammo, and rather than returning to a spawn point to find it, you had to run to where the dropship crashed after being hit with and RPG...
Pin downed by snipers? use your RPG to shoot down the alien dropship as it flies in to resupply your enemies. snag the equipment, and use it to snip back enemies.
awesome eh?
