Subject: What's the best Halo campain?

ODST.

The whole campaign was nothing short of perfect IMO, the artistic presentation and film-noir ambient atmosphere was beautifully done. So much was done right in this game, yet it's overlooked because it was overpriced.

Completely agree. It had the best story and the best cast. It really showed the desperate side of the war. When you're driving on the highway in the last level watching the assault carrier glass new mombasa, that was truly one of the most chilling moments in halo.

Every time people tell me that they hate it, they always say it was overpriced or too short. They never say that the story was bad.

I just played Halo 3: ODST again, & I agree it's the best campaign.

I choose Halo ODST for the above listed reasons. I might be a bit biased though. : p

I'd say Halo 2 had the best. It was just sooo detailed, well-made, and the story kinda like sucked you in. It was a thrilling experience all in one. My second favorite is Halo Reach though.

I hated the gameplay but the the cut scenes in Halo Wars were pretty cool. Halo reach was down right depressing but idk thats kinda why i respect that game. Odst... yeah i love the concept of solders falling from the sky in pods cause it gives me a "transformer" feeling, you know the whole crash landing and pwning concept but personally i hated the night time levels. And the halo trilogy was of course the first the original and possibly, probably, the best of them all.

Halo 2 felt like a movie, and i'm down with that. And am I the only one who enjoyed the ending?

The ending was probably the best part of the game. Epic scene, seeing Uprising and Halo 3 early missions shows that there would have been no better time...

Anyway, even if you hate it, the ending set up Halo 3 quite nicely, FINISH THE FIGHT.

So many epic moments in Halo 2 right after Chief delivers a one-liner. "I won't" anyone?

My inital answer is ODST as well but its like picking your favorite child. CE probably sucked me in the most, 2 and 3 had some epic goosebump moments. ODST was beast. Reach is probably my least favorite but it still had some good moments like Jorge's death for example that really pulled me in.

Personally I think ODST had a great story, but if you are referring to "Halo" as "Any game with chief in it" then I would have to say that I quite enjoyed Halo 3's campaign. Halo CE was the first FPS I ever played (born in 95', didn't get to experience Marathon at its peak) and that campaign still holds a special place in my heart for that reason.

Based off pure story and fun factor though? ODST for me.
