I've been looking for a game or series with the type of website integration Bungie/Halo have.

Anyone care to name their favourites based on:

1. Game / statistics integration

2. Community forums / involvement

3. Groups or member rewards/progression

4. Game assets, e.g. Bungie Pro or fileshare or video upload

Some off hand might be -
COD MW3 elite, WOW/Blizzard, Bioware/SW The Old Republic...

To be honest, I think Bungie has everyone beat in all these. However if I had to choose something that comes close I would choose number 4. As mush as I know people don't want to hear it, I would say Call of Duty Elite is not as bad as it has been said to be.

What do you guys'n'gals think of the new 343 Halo.xbox.com?

Seems like the integration across mobiles, web, in-house content, community content and in game is seriously getting impressive.

I'm starting to think with Halo 4-6 and their new website 343 may just outdo Bungie.net regarding the sheer level of awesome.

The community of Bungie will never be outdone regardless of the awesomeness of the stats on their site.

Bungie paved the way in every category mentioned here IMO, they had these things up and running before any other game community I can think of.

And low and behold, a few years later and every other major gaming franchise is hopping on board to host similar features. At least you don't have to pay an additional monthly or one time fee to use Bnet here (with the exception of render minutes/Pro).

The world is full of mysteries, and shares too few of the answers required. An example of which, is how did I end up in the Brute Zone?

Bungie has the best site. (IMO)

Game stats are well displayed.
Community is one of the best.
Has groups, and titles.
Bungie Pro.

Most other sites like this are full of 12 year olds, trolls, etc...

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Jimmy Carr once wrote that dissecting a joke is like dissecting a frog. Noone is all that interested, and the frog dies.

Let implied punchlines alone. Dragging them, kicking and screaming, onto the lab bench, does everyone a disservice.

Honestly they have some good stats there. It's easy to use and has a lot of information. They are missing some of the legendary medals, i.e. perfection, but they still did a good job.

Bungie.net still has the really convenient sidebar, and in the end is easier to navigate.

Ken should know, he's the biggest troll on these forums.

On topic. Halo Waypoint is pretty decent, though at the moment things seem a little bit messy. Could improve though.
